I booked a last minute spring break trip (as in 3 weeks before!) for myself, my two teen daughters, and my mother. I really wanted a two bedroom that was central. The Grand Bliss seemed to fit perfectly for our needs.
I reached out to the host, Richard, and he responded very quickly that he could get a two room - one with two beds and one with a king. The only hiccup I had with booking was when I checked in online, the booking listed a master suite vs. the 2 bedroom villa. Richard made sure the booking was correct and we had zero issues.
Check in was smooth. We booked through vidanta, $11 a person. Honestly, it would have been very easy to grab a cab from the airport for less than $20 (which we did on return). Our room was ready for us. Very low sales pitch - just an offer to come hear a 60 minute presentation if I'd like to. We also checked out the soft opening of Vidanta World!
The room was lovely. Very spacious. The only bad thing was trying to cook in the room. The pans are not non-stick - so I completely failed with my one attempt. Oh well, room service is great and saved the day!
We started each day with a short walk to La Plaza and grabbed coffee. We liked the buffet. We found out we could have asked for coupons too late into our trip - so be sure to ask for that! The food was delicious everywhere.
The Grand Bliss pool is AMAZING. It is quiet, right next to beach, and easy to walk to. The games were fun and be sure to check out the painting activity!
