Great property all around
While we lucked out on getting a corner unit in the coveted Punta tower, I won't be providing a review for our specific unit's location, only because that depends on availability. I will say that the master rooms are very spacious, and maintained well to provide a luxury stay.
Francisco (host) went above and beyond to get us a last minute reservation with Vidanta, which I truly appreciated. Most other hosts merely replied with "no availability; these rooms are booked 9-12 months in advance". Well, we were very aware of that, and besides, we had Francisco on our side who actually did what the others couldn't. :-)
As others have pointed out, if you're looking for the resort kind of stay, this is one of the best. Friendly staff, right from the check-in, the shuttle coordinators, to the building concierge - all top notch. Incredible number of pools, from adult only infinity ones, to ones for kids that include slides and other play structures. They even have a play club for kids to keep them occupied, offering full day of activities, half a day, or per event. We did take advantage of the half day Jungle Bay club, and our 7 and 5 year old loved it.
There are several restaurants to pick from. Food quality varies from restaurant to restaurant, but generally ranges from acceptable to great. For us, the "great" category included Quinto, and the "acceptable" category included Gong.
