"Good location - staff friendly and helpful - room lightening very dull to read anything only bathroom light bright - no lifts only stairs - beds were small I was frightened to turn over incase I fell out of bed - seems an old building g needs a refurb to modernise it - windows didn’t open to stay open enough to get signing and radiators in a timer room very warm- otherwise it served the purpose glad we only stayed 1 night "

"We loved the hotel and the staff were brilliant. It is on top of The Bull Pub! The pub was lovely, such a great atmosphere. The room itself was clean and a great set up for what we needed with our little boy. The second floor walking up to our room smelt a bit musty but overall the hotel was lovely. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. So much choice! Highly impressed by the hotel and service for the price! Will definitely be back "

"Great hotel and really friendly and supportive staff. Was going to have to work at times through the night and my request for late check out was met, however no payment required as the hot water was off for a short while. Second time staying there and won’t be the last."

"Had a fabulous 2 night stay there for a friend’s birthday. The staff were friendly and helpful and excellent value for money. The room was very quaint and comfortable and the price included a fabulous cooked breakfast. Only minutes walk from town so perfect for exploring Chester. Overall a little gem."

"One night stay along with our 15yr old son. All 3 of us stayed in the same room which was very spacious, set out lovely and very clean. We were impressed with the decor and fealt comfortable right from first entering. Yes it could do with a bit of an update but nothing to worry about at all. The management and staff couldn’t be more helpful during our stay right from checking in to having a bite to eat and a few drinks in the bar. We were met by a tall young woman who was very welcoming and friendly and I was invited to complete details into a machine, then asked to pay the cost of the accommodation there and then.
