"The Lodge is so peaceful and quiet. The balcony is a wonderful place to start and end the day. The beach and Byron town centre is only 10 minutes so it really is a wonderful blend of country and coast! The owners Steve and his wife are very responsive and caring. The lodge and main house are next door to each other yet cleverly designed for maximum privacy between the houses. The house is hot when arrived with no aircon (was worried with reading reviews) but it’s designed as a smart home and once you open the windows and doors up the breeze automatically flows through and it drops to a great temp. It was 32C and we were fine! It’s designed to be open and doesn’t get sun inside. Really big, and spacious living areas. Kitchen is fully equipped and bedrooms have a great space around for luggage and storing things....

"Would have given the 5 stars across the board but one of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because of the amazing pool on the property which was closed the duration of our stay. There was no mention of it when I booked it and we were not told at check in. I was really disappointed. "
