A bit of TLC would make it perfect.
Enjoyable week at the Lodge. Nice, quiet location. Big heated communal swimming pool, which we managed to use just before it closed for the winter. The lodge itself was very spacious with plenty of storage. A couple of niggles that have been picked up by previous visitors is that some things need fixing/replacing.
The dishwasher gets partially through then flashes an error code. Not a case of resetting anything...needs a part.
The fridge freezer - fridge never got cold enough and the ice dispenser didn't work.
Hot tub - was not checked/topped-up during the week we stayed. It had what turned out to be a floating chlorine dispenser in the water. I had to ask the on site hot tub tech (does not service this lodge) what it was and what to do? We took it out.
I watched other lodges being prepared for new guests. They are mostly under trees with lots of fallen leaves. They were being leaf blown off the decking. Our lodge had none of this. A blanket of wet leaves on a very slippery decking. Extreme caution needed.
The master bed creaked at every turn and and springs could be felt through the mattress. Single beds the same.
The Bluebell pub outside the park was excellent and a very warm landlord.
The lodge was very clean with everything needed. Being on a residential park, we were made to feel very welcome by residents.
Easy 20 min walk into the town centre.
