ALL ABOUT THE INSIDE:
Entrance
Through the front door into the hall way with hooks for coats/keys etc. The floor is wooden with non slip mats (there are more of these available in the hall cupboard).

Sitting room
Lovely large windows with view across fields – a wonderful place to view the setting sun. There is a three seater leather sofa, a two seater leather sofa and fabric covered chair – plenty of seating! Throws are provided for these. There is a lovely feature fireplace with a wood burning stove. Hisense 32 inch Smart TV with Netflix account for guest use. Wooden coffee and chest/drawer unit for games, books etc and reading lamp with USB charger built in.

Kitchen
This is at the front of the house so that there are views across fields, making washing up a pleasure! If you don’t want to wash up you can use the built in dishwasher! There is also a built-in Stoves oven with a double oven/grill. The hob is halogen and there is a microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge/freezer. Plenty of space for food storage and surface space for cooking. Also a built in washing machine. The floor is tiled with underfloor heating and there is a door straight into the garden.

Just outside the kitchen the hall way cupboard has extra non-slip mats, vacuum cleaner, broom etc.

Dining Room
There is seating at the dining table for 4, a tall book case with games and books for guest use. A very useful portable table with built in stools is kept in here – ideal for taking into the living room for a tv dinner if you would rather eat in there. Views out onto the garden.

Front Master Bedroom
This room has a double bed with a black metal frame. There is a bedside cabinet on one side of the bed and on the other side of the bed is a small matching chest of drawers. Bedding is non-feather. Two bedside lamps have built in USB chargers – very useful! The views are towards the rather lovely thatched roof of the cottage next door. There is no wardrobe but a very useful hanging rail/shelf and a full length mirror.

Second bedroom
The bed is a king size in this room and has two bedside cabinets. There is a wall mirror and very useful hanging rail. Bedding is non-feather here too. The two bedside lamps have built in USB chargers as in the other bedroom. The views are out onto the garden.

Bathroom
A modern bathroom with a bath and mixer shower over the bath with a screen. There are also two hand held showers. Washbasin and lavatory too.

ALL ABOUT THE OUTSIDE:
There is enough parking on the private driveway for up to 4 cars so loads of room! The side gate gets you into the private and secure garden. The garden is a good size, plenty of grass with a gravel area and hard standing too. Garden seating for 4 and the entire garden is fully enclosed by 6ft high foot fencing and gates making it very secure and dog friendly. Hedges all have wire within them.

The front garden isn’t enclosed but does have a little bench seat for those sunset sundowners!

Great peaceful location
The Grove is a comfortable homely cottage, well equipped for dogs and humans. Lovely and clean and fresh on arrival. Country walks from the door and a short drive to the beach. Shops, pubs, cafes all in easy reach. If you want peace and quiet with everything else on your doorstep it is perfect!

Lovely quiet cottage
The location is idyllic, very quiet with walks from the front door. The cottage was well laid out, very clean and tidy with everything you would need. The garden is a great size and fully enclosed, perfect for sighthound 'zoomies'. A great area to holiday in with plenty to do, places to visit and dog friendly cafes, pubs & restaurants in the area.

A great place for people and dogs
This was our first visit to The Grove. The bungalow is equipped with everything you could possibly need for people and dogs. It is very comfortable with amazing views over open countryside at the front. The dogs loved the large garden and the nearby walks. We all really enjoyed our stay and would definitely have another holiday at The Grove.

Perfect stay
Lovely place to stay. Our 2nd visit and just as welcoming. Everything you could need and more. Great garden for sniffs and runs for the dogs if they had any energy left after the beach walks. Comfortable beds and cosy duvet. Great bathroom for nice soaks after those long walks, also amazing shower if you prefer. Brilliant place to stay

Very dog friendly
Really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and the facilities were good, although I was unable to log onto Netflix, but it didn’t bother us. The large enclosed garden was a bonus our cocker spaniel, Milo really liked it, there was no chance of him escaping. The PDF guide book, very useful. Liked the morning walk to the Saxon Church, before going out and exploring the area. And it is a good circular walk to Bacton. The welcome pack was excellent. Would book again if wanting to stay in the area.

Peace and quiet
The Grove was in an excellent location, on a quiet lane with views over fields, but also close to woods and the beach. It was lovely and clean and had everything you needed. The garden was generous in size and also very secure. I would definitely recommend the cottage and look forward to my return visit later on this year.

A lovely week at the Grove
Lovely bungalow with a very big garden. Well thought out for humans and dogs. Comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Our dogs enjoyed the toy box and loved playing with the different toys. The welcome pack was excellent. Very close to Bacton Woods and the beach. Very quiet location overlooking fields. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

A real home from home!
Our first visit to The Grove. We had a wonderful relaxing stay, a real home from home, so quiet and peaceful, with a large garden - excellent for the dogs. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t very kind to us but we still had walks in the woods and to the beach (which was almost deserted) every day. The bungalow is equipped with everything you could possibly want, lots of games, puzzles and books to keep you occupied, plus a very generous welcome pack and a present for our dog’s birthday. We had a lovely chat with Peter (after arriving a little bit early) and he was really welcoming. There are lots of walks down quiet lanes and only a short drive to North Walsham and to all the beaches and very dog welcoming.

Five starts is not enough!
Beautiful bungalow, impeccably clean and excellently equipped with a wonderful dog safe garden. The owners could not have been more helpful (they definitely deserved 1/5!). This, like the other ERC cottages we've stayed in, was a real home from home. Lots of quiet walks direct from the cottage through lovely countryside and quick easy access to beaches and woods. Thank you for a holiday to remember for a lifetime

Like returning home
This is our second stay at The Grove and we’ve already booked for next year and 2026. A beautifully clean property with a large well kept, secure garden. Quiet walks from the door and a short drive to the coast but I actually walked the distance on two occasions. There’s everything we needed at the property along with plenty of supplies of doggy toys, leads, all manner of essentials incase you forget anything. EV charging in the immediate area is poor for rapid charging but we used a local one which is a 50kw charger but there’s only one, listed in the information from East Rushton Cottages once booking is complete. The next nearest is at Aylsham and there are four 150kw chargers but it’s a fifteen mile round trip from The Grove. We highly recommend the property, lovely hosts who are on hand but leave you to your seclusion and East Rushton cottages are a really helpful and responsive letting agent. Simply can’t fault.

A Home from Home
The Grove is a home from home for us. We’ve stayed before and rebooked because we knew what we were getting, lovely size hike for the week, massive garden for the pups to play in, gorgeous kitchen to cook in, lovely quiet walks from the front door for our fearful little dog, and just a 5-6 minute drive to Walcott or Bacton beach. Was nice to see the new comfy sofa in the lounge and the lavender colour them throughout the accessories, towels etc was a nice touch. Just a really cosy place to be, and the dogs settled straight away on both our visits.. we’re booked up in some other ERC properties next year but would love to squeeze a week in at The Grove, hopefully with our 4th pup in tow!

An idyllic holiday
It’s taken 2 and a half years for our lovely rescue lurcher Jeff to be medically stable enough for us to go on holiday with him. So it was also several years since our last holiday! The property was wonderful as was the location - Jeff can’t cope / becomes reactive to off lead dogs. Such a rural setting but only a couple of miles from the coast. The owners were so helpful and patient with a number of questions I had in the week before our booking - my anxiety levels were a little high! The owners have provided everything you could possibly need, both for humans and, more importantly of course! for dogs. Their recommendations for places to eat which are very dog friendly and have great food were spot on. My only selfish“ regret” is that so many other people have already discovered this “ paradise” - so we’ve already booked our next stay but it’s not until November 2025. There is some availability before then but not dates that we can do. We’ll be keeping an eye on the cancellation emails which East Ruston Cottages send out - just in case!

Perfectly peaceful.
The Grove is tucked away down a designated "Quiet Lane" in sleepy East Norfolk. The bungalow itself was lovely and clean, comfortable, well appointed and had a gorgeous, fully enclosed back garden. The dogs were made just as welcome as the humans, which for us is most important. There were throws on the sofas, dog bowls, dog toys and even lovely hand made dog treats in the welcome pack. The area is very quiet and there were lovely walks right from the front door. The beaches nearby are all dog friendly, clean and sandy too, so The Grove is in a perfect area for Doggy Holidays. I'd not hesitate to recommend The Grove to anyone wanting a perfectly peaceful holiday with their four legged family members.

Yet another great East Ruston Cottages Holiday!
The two best things about our recent holiday are The Grove and ERC. The Grove is tucked away down a tiny lane which has five or six houses in it and is a dead end. At the end of the lane there is a small track which leads you up a hill to a beautiful part Saxon and part Norman church. There is also a footpath heading towards Bacton. The Grove was spotless, well-equipped and very comfortable. The garden is lovely, and it has high fences, so dogs can roam around safely. ERC are the bee’s knees, They are efficient, and friendly, Customer support is excellent, Sue Allen, the owner of ERC, sets the pace, and her team are terrific, Sue really understands how to please her customers. As a result, many of them, (including my wife and me), have returned to Norfolk lots of times, for enjoyable stays at cottages managed by ERC.

The Grove
Tha Grove was very good for dogs and has the best equipped kitchen of any property we have stayed in. It was very clean throughout, which is very welcome especially for the kitchen and bathroom.
