Guest house with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath & beautifully decorated in Alaskan Style, this BnB is nestled in the pines on a 5-acre lot shared with the main house, giving you a feeling of serenity while only being 2 miles from the North pole and 20 minutes from downtown Fairbanks. Upon returning home from your Alaskan adventures, you can sit back and relax in the cozy living room, make a family dinner in the full kitchen, or sit on the back porch and enjoy the views of the northern lights.
This cottage is down a 260 foot drive way and tucked within the pines on a 5-acre lot that is shared with the properties main house. It is completely surrounded by tall spruce pines, giving you privacy from the main house and from the surrounding neighborhood. It is a single story house with a few steps to walk up to access the front door. Upon entering the house there is a small vestibule that opens up to the main hall way. On the left is the master bedroom and bathroom with stacked washer and dryer, to your front is the second bedroom, and to the right is a small office, kitchen, and living room. The kitchen has cooking basics, a coffee station, fridge, microwave, oven, and dish washer. The living room has a smart tv, sofa, and a sitting area infront of an electric fireplace. At the back of the living room is a door that leads you to the back porch. The property is heated by fuel which keeps it nice and warm in the winter months.

The property is located on the North side of AK-2 highway in a residential neighborhood of the North Pole. All the houses in the neighborhood are gorgeously and most are tucked back into the woods giving the everyone plenty of privacy.
4wd or AWD recommended in winter months.
-1.8 miles to Safeway Grocery Store and great restaurants in the center of North Pole, AK
-14.6 miles to the center of Fairbanks which has everything (shopping, restaurants, etc)
-19.6 miles to the Fairbanks Airport (car rentals available at the airport)

-11.3 miles to Eielson Airforce Base
This is an old cottage that has recently been remodeled, so there will be some weird little quirks (like light switches in weird places) but fret not, we have labeled everything for your ease of use.
There is parking across the drive way from the cottage for your use. Please do not block the drive way.
There is another house on the property that is 135 feet from this cottage. It is also a short term rental property when not being used by the home owners. Please be courteous and respectful to the other guests or homeowners.
Please do not feed the wildlife. Moose frequent the property and are an absolute joy to watch. However, they are still wild animals and can become aggressive if you invade their space. So enjoy them from a distance.
Please know that in accordance with the Alaska Landlord Tenant act we require a signed lease agreement; an increased management fee of $230 for the first 59 nights (which goes towards supplement insurance), and then $80 for each 30 day block after 59 nights; and a completed background check through Safely to completely validate your reservations over 30 nights.

Quiet Hours are from 9pm to 8am. No more than the authorized # of guests at the house during quiet hours.
No disruptive events or parties. Airbnb guidelines state that if a guest is reported for a disruptive party or violating Airbnb's party and events policy, they may be subject to suspension or removal from the Airbnb Platform. In addition, the host may also ask that you vacate the property and no refund will be given.
Fee schedule for violating house rules:
-Unauthorized late check-out: $50 immediately, $50 for every 30 minutes after checkout (i.e. +$100 at 30 min after checkout, $150 at an hour after checkout).
-Smoking of any kind in the unit or where it can waft-into the unit: $100
-Unauthorized Parties or events: $250
-Additional guests beyond what was approved when booking: $35 per guest, per day
-Pet cleaning fee (excessive hair, bodily fluids, stains): $100-$300
-Deep clean fee, if required (i.e. vomit, carpet stain, bodily fluids, or excessive trash, etc.): $100
-Broken/damaged items: charged at replacement value
Travel insurance is recommended. As with any vacation, unexpected situations sometimes occur that can put a damper on even the best-planned trips. We stand by our firm by our cancelation policy and getting travel insurance is your best option for protecting your trip from the unexpected. Upon completing your reservation, we will provide you with an optional third-party Travel Insurance policy.
We use third-party guest screening: We use a third-party company for guest verification. Upon booking you give permission to the property manager to use a third-party to verify your identity and check criminal databases to confirm your reservation. Complete terms regarding the guest verification can be provided by the property manager. You may receive an email to complete your screening.
