Two Dogs Inn A Pet Friendly Hidden Gem

Pet Friendly! In fond memory of our two Great Pyrenees we are now open to accepting a maximum of two pets. Fully fenced and gated 1 acre property for your travelling companions to enjoy. Enjoy a beautiful 4kms forest hike within walking distance. Your self contained fully furnished semi ground level one bedroom suite is waiting for you. This is country living yet close to amenities. Plenty of parking, we can even accommodate your big rig, 5th wheel or travel trailer. Our property is located aproximately 12 kms from the town of Ladysmith, and 6 kms to Highway 1 access for north and southbound travel. There is a lovely small beach with beautiful views (Elliot Beach) only 3 kms away. Perfect for kayaking or just relaxing.

Lovely Garden Suite!
Beautiful suite in beautiful surroundings! The hosts are warm and thoughtful and really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The suite was thoughtfully equipped with extra things to make one's stay comfortable. It was like a home away from home.

Vancouver Islands best kept secret with the perfect hosts to match, property is absolutely beautiful, the unit is very generous, a perfect getaway, sleeping quarters black right out and you can be comfortable if you like to sleep warm or cold, Val and Paul were so welcoming and were quick to start the relaxing vacation, and answer any question thrown their way! Island Home
This place feels like home. Our hosts, Val and Paul were there to greet us and walked us through the property. Everything is very neat and clean, bed and linens are great and kitchen has all the necessities. We really appreciated the breakfast food that was provided. There are walking trails and beaches close by. The property has gardens and fruit trees and relaxing sitting areas. Paul and Val are amazing hosts and it was lovely to share our stories. Loved this place.

We loved staying at the Two Dogs Inn! Very clean, cozy suite with all our necessities provided, hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable! Beautiful + peaceful area, lots to do close by in Ladysmith (stores, coffee, etc.). Hosts were very welcoming and helpful with any extra things we needed, and any questions we had about travelling! We enjoyed our stay, and hope to return!

A quiet place to stay
Val and Paul are wonderful hosts and have their suite set up very nicely. They are very gracious and friendly and have numerous amenities including fresh farm eggs for breakfast! The barbecue came in handy as well!

Luxurious Ladysmith
We really enjoyed this gem of a place with lovely hosts Paul and Val, or was it Captain and Ruby the two Pyrenees Mountain dogs. The cabin is well equipped and kitchen well stocked by Val and we wish we could stay longer to enjoy the rural setting and hospitality. We learned so much about the region from talking to our hosts and would like to be back some day.

Valerie and Paul are wonderful hosts and now friends I will visit every time I am on the island. Their property is wonderful, the apartment is everything you could ask for, and it was stocked with some food and water and other necessities that you don’t ever see in a rental. Most of all, I enjoyed sharing time and stories with Paul and Valerie while Captain guarded us and the property. I had a wonderful stay and look forward to staying there again and visiting with the best hosts ever.

Beautiful Gardens
The property was as advertised. The hosts were warm, friendly and accommodating. There were wonderful touches throughout the suite such as bowls of chocolate, a welcoming vase of flowers and a fridge stocked with bread, butter, eggs, yogurt etc. I especially enjoyed the lovely garden, complete with a grape arbour seating area. Captain, the lovely dog, and the super friendly cat were the icing on the cake.

Val and Paul were great hosts. Very knowledgeable. The suite was clean and very well stocked with a variety of breakfast choices including eggs, yogurt, English muffins and cereals. A pleasant surprise. Would recommend this place to everyone. Looking forward to coming back in the summer to enjoy the pool and a glass of wine with our hosts.

Great hideaway near Ladysmith
The unit is the lower level of the owners home and is spacious and well equipped. Snacks and other modest provisions, kitchen supplies, comfortable seating and eating areas are provided indoors, and there is a wonderful shaded sitting area outside. Valerie and Paul are very generous and friendly hosts, and their two dogs are very simpatico with guests! The location is in the Yellow Point area and there are little beach parks around the peninsula, a great outdoor pub/restaurant (the Crow and Gate), and hiking areas (Holland Creek, Heart Lake) nearby. Not to mention Cafe Plantitude in town!

This is such a lovely, peaceful place to stay. Val and Paul are super nice people and wonderful hosts. And the cats and dogs were a fun bonus! The apartment is very comfortable and has absolutely everything a person needs. It was also more spacious than I expected from the pictures. The bed was super comfy and the place was very clean. There was fresh eggs and everything a person would like for breakfast and all sorts of snacks and goodies which was a big surprise. We only get to Ladysmith every year or two but know we will automatically book here again. We loved it here.
