There are numerous walks in the area, several delightful pubs amd restaurants, and it is a great base for exploring North Yorkshire. The property itself, though, needs some work. The kitchen and dining room are beautiful. The living rooms are extremely comfortable (with the exception of one chair). The bedrooms and bathrooms each have their quirks and drawbacks. "Really nicely decorated and spacious property. It was difficult to heat downstairs on the first couple of days (but was particularly cold outside) and there were no logs or kindling for the fire. We had a great stay regardless!"
