Make sure that you bring along your boat or ATV because Hidden Escape offers plenty of space to park them, and is just a short drive from some of the area's best lakes and dunes. If you don’t own your own, you can rent one for the day in nearby North Bend. William Tugman State Park is only 12 miles north and offers access to beautiful Eel Lake, great for swimming, kayaking or paddleboarding.

Perfect home for a weekend trip to ride the dunes!
Loved that it was in a quiet neighborhood where we felt comfortable that our dirtbikes wouldn’t get tampered with in the driveway… Great location, easy to find, and hassle free rental weekend.

Great little three bedroom for the price!
Great little three bedroom for the price! It could have been a little cleaner upon arrival, you could tell somebody hadn't been there in a while. Spiders and spider webs inside the dwelling and out. All the issues were relatively minor. The can opener is broken, the hall bath doesn't hold water, and the carpet is frayed in some areas, leaving sharp trip hazards. Overall we had a great day, the place was relatively quiet and close to amenities.

Perfect home for Grandma's and family!
The layout was very user friendly, both Grandma's on our trip found it easy to navigate. There is another door near the laundry room that is easier to get in if one has mobility issues. There is only one step inside the house, so everywhere was easy to access. There were plenty of amenities for the 7 of us who stayed, and there was even a doggy bowl for our fur babies to use! Overall, this was our favorite spot to stay on the coast and we come every year.

Alright if no other options
The location is good for the dunes but really only good if you're just here to just sleep, not much more. Not clean, carpets in bedrooms weren't cleaned well. Not a clean house if there's a very impressive amount of old spider webs and dead spiders in them everywhere. Plenty of live sliders, but that's the season so I understand that some. The pots and pans there are so old, worn out that no matter how much oil you use, everything sticks. Great that there's a washer/dryer but even on cold/cold setting...the water came out hot and shrunk clothes. Won't be staying again but would work if in a bind and just need somewhere close to go play all day.

North Bend
House needs to be deep cleaned. There are many cob webs. Fridge needs to be disinfected and deep cleaned after every stay. It was dirty when we arrived. There are blinds that are broken or missing. House has no AC so you need to keep windows and sliding door open to get a breeze. Washer and dryer are old but they work great. Water comes out yellow when you first turn it on. Would be great if a fence was added for dogs. I also think a bbq grill would be a good idea to. Over all we enjoyed our stay I would stay agian.

5 Minutes to the Sand Dunes
Positives: property located behind a church, extremely quiet (except for the 2:00 am garbage truck Tuesday morning), secluded, lots of room both outside and inside, inside was fairly clean, very close to the North Bend KOA and sand dunes. Negatives: biggest negative were the smells inside the house. Upon entering the house, there was a strong mold smell. We opened the windows and bought an air freshener, which helped. We also didn’t use the back half of the house and kept the doors closed downstairs which also helped. The freezer had a very strong fish odor, which we took care of by placing a box of baking soda in both the freezer and fridge. Overall the place would be great if the mold odor is addressed. My husband is a home inspector, and he was very tempted to go to work looking for the source of the smell, but I reminded him he is on vacation so he let it go. We read the previous reviews and responses, and the smell is definitely not the smell of a “beach” cabin that has been shut up all winter (as we have one of those further up the coast and know that smell). Smell appears to be coming from the back end of the house. Definitely needs to be addressed and then this would be a 5-star recommendation!

Broken, dusty blinds, missing drawer in kitchen cabinets, musty smell, broken screen on sliding door, musty smell, suspicious stains on carpet, broken bedside light, washing machine improperly hooked up so "cold water wash" gives you hot water, shrinking clothes. Even the can opener doesn't work. Was challenged by neighbor one block away while walking my dog. She said she usually carries a gun while telling strangers to leave because there have been so many break-ins recently. And this was on a public street.

Everything was just as pictured. It was very nice to have a quiet place to bring our dog. He wandered & had plenty of room outside. There’s what looks like hot sauce on one of the window sills in living room and a mass of spiders everywhere outside windows & under porch awning which was a little unnerving but over all it was comfortable.

It is a good place to stay if you have dogs but beware that some people that stay there with their dogs must let them pee inside because the house reeks of it. I figured it was a waste of time if I reached out to Vacasa about it as they had finish cleaning and there was no way they didn’t smell that smell. I did read there were dogs allowed but never expected that! The pans need replacing. Maybe a few more cookware. It would be good if they would replace the screen door. In the reviews other people mentioned that too. Outside needs a really good cleaning. Webs everywhere so was surprised when I didn’t see that many spiders inside. We did enjoy the large television and the couch. It was stinky from dogs staying there but comfortable. I wanted to be honest with my review as I wish others would have been too.
