We had such a great experience here and there are activities available for all interests. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the host included many very nice touches. We really appreciate you!
This was one of our best North Bend/ Coos Bay trips EVER. We come up once or twice a year. Both my sister and brother live in North Bend with all my nieces and nephews. Cheryl and Glen are amazing hosts and take pride in their home that they share with som many. My husband and I do a lot of traveling and staying at vacation rentals. I don’t take time to review very many but this stay was 100% worth every penny and was more than we could have hoped for. The place is decorated so very cute and the bed we stayed in (upstairs) was super comfy. We slept like babies for sure! It is a little tricky going up and down the stairs in the middle of the night if you have to use the restroom 😂 That would never stop me from coming back again. When I’m to old to do the stairs I will just sleep in the room downstairs. I tested that bed also and it also seemed amazing. The views from the living room are breathtaking and so very peaceful. We had access to the property to store our trailer for our Polaris and had direct access to the dunes. We had a blast and it worked perfect for the family to come play in the dunes with us for the day. I would not say inside is little kid friendly inside but my baby Neice spent one of the day’s playing in the sand on the beach. I would say kids over 5 would be good or you would want to move some things inside. This is a PERFECT ADUT GET AWAY!!! If I could give a 10 star review I would. We absolutely had the best stay!!!!
The AFrame was absolutely amazing. 5 stars all the way around. This biggest thing for us was parking and proximity to the Dunes. DuneHaven has that and much more.
The picturesque view from the living room will make you want to sell your house and move here. The lake view is serene, relaxing, and peaceful, and the home furnishings are very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. For an AFrame house this place is surprisingly open and roomy. We never felt like we were crowded and there were 4 adults here. We could have easily added 2 more people without issue.
The water pressure is good and the water is hot.
One reviewer mentioned how the stairs to go up to the loft area are steep. This is for sure the case, but they do have hand rails on both sides. We had no issue going up and down the stairs. There is a queen bedroom on the main floor across from the bathroom and the other queen and the twin are up in the loft area, but are there own separate bedrooms. If you have to use the bathroom at night you will need to go down the stairs to get to it. Again this was no issue for our group.
The overflow parking is massive and we had no issue. Fitting 4 full sized trucks each towing 20’ trailers. We could have easily fit a couple more setups in the parking area. I will say the corner is a little tight so getting a 20’ trailer back there although tight, is no problem, but the more length your trailer has the more work it will be to maneuver around the corner. I myself would not attempt anything more then 24’ or 26’ but an experienced trailer diver might get something bigger back there.
The sand dunes access is very close to the property and although you do have to drive on paved road it’s not for more then about 100 feet or so. Not an issue and we had sand tires on.
The owners were extremely kind and very responsive the one time we, reached out for help with the gate code. Although our trip was focused on riding the dunes a few in our group did end up kayaking on the lake one afternoon as it was to gorgeous to pass up.
You won’t be sorry for renting at DuneHaven.
The pictures didn’t do this place justice. There’s a small beach in the front yard. Boats with life jackets for kids and adults, sand dunes for ATV riding next door, and a beautiful deck setup for day and evening! The house itself is adorable and extra welcoming touches were so special. We were thrilled and kids were thoroughly entertained - not one mention of video games! We will be back!!
This is in a perfect location for family fun at the lake and dune access! We had a large group and rented both the A frame and studio and it was amazing. We will 100% be back! The overflow parking is such a great addition especially with many trailers and toys for dunes.
This place was a perfect fit for our annual Family Vacation! We enjoyed meals and games in the patio, evening fires with S’Mores, skipping rocks and enjoying the peaceful environment. We were able to get in some hiking nearby, hit the dunes and try the local cuisine.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Aframe. We could tell that the owner had fun decorating it! So many thoughtful touches! They really went the extra mile. Even robes! There is a soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser in the shower. And it was THE CLEANEST place we have rented. Plenty of parking for our truck & ATVs. So great to have dune access right from the house. Should point out that the stairs to the upstairs bedroom are very steep, ladder-like. We will be back!!
Really awesome placement with sandy lake access and dune access. Our daughter caught her first fish here! Well equipped and stocked. We had a great time!
We had a wonderful weekend! It’s a beautiful location with the lake and dunes both right outside. We so appreciated using the included kayaks! Thank you! Hope to return soon.
Fantastic memories at this fully equipped A frame cabin. They supplied everything we could think of from kayaks, paddle boats to hair ties. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home.
We had a great weekend. Perfect house for a family of 4. Our favorite part was using the lake and going fishing. This house has great access to the dunes too..
We hauled our toys to play on the sand and ended up fishing and enjoying the property. The neighborhood is quiet (except for our noise) and peaceful.
Don’t recommend older people, heavy people, or physically unable to climb because those stairs/ladder are a challenge, but we made due with the air mattress (which you have to get from upstairs), the couch, and downstairs room. It’s a little crowded with all adults and I’d say it sleeps 4-5 adults comfortably, but a family with kids would be perfect.
The owners are very accommodating and add little extras I’ve never seen before. They are responsive to calls and very friendly. The housekeeper is also delightful.
As we were packing to leave, we had both doors open, coming in and out, packing coolers on the deck and dry food in the back. Turn your back for a moment and the squirrel will take advantage. Got into the dry food, was startled by someone coming in the back door and ran through the cabin and out the deck door. Hilarious!!! We didn’t even know squirrels liked Reese’s!!!
We had a great stay in the DunesHaven A frame. The house was stocked with everything we could need and then some. Great access to the dunes and right on the lake. Such a wonderful and relaxing stay . We will definitely be back❤️
Exactly what we needed. This was our first rime to the Oregon Dunes and this was the perfect spot to stay. So close to dunes, ocean and lakefront! Cheryl was great with communication and the Aframe and studio were decorated so cute. Will definitely return❤️
