Lost Cabin at the Creek

We purchased The Lost Cabin at the Creek in May of 2020 and are fully committed to providing the highest level of service. We have upgraded the property for more enjoyment for our guests. We hope you will love your stay as much as we do when we can escape to The Lost Cabin at the Creek!

THE CABIN
This beautiful property is called The Lost Cabin at the Creek because it is an excellent place to disconnect, escape and relax. The creek provides great opportunities for fishing, swimming, exploring, viewing wildlife, and generally enjoying the outdoors. The cabin was constructed in 2013 and provides two bedrooms, a sleeping loft, bathroom with shower, well equipped kitchen, gas log fireplace, screened-in back porch, hot tub, charcoal grill, fire pit, and all the amenities necessary to enjoy your stay. The cabin sleeps 6 people with both bedrooms having queen size beds. The loft is furnished with 2 twin beds.

THE PROPERTY
The Lost Cabin sits directly on 600 feet of the banks of Lick Creek, running the entire length of the property. The creek is spring fed and runs year round. On the back of the cabin is a screened-in porch which leads to the outside deck and a 4-person hot tub. All of these areas provide great views of the creek. Next to the back porch is a cooking and entertainment area that includes a charcoal grill with outdoor seating, and a fire pit (wood provided). The outdoor entertainment area gently slopes down to water for easy creek access. The creek has formed a natural swimming and fishing area. The land across the dirt road is a part of Lost Cabin at the Creek property, so please enjoy the amenities there as well. The swimming hole is across the dirt road. Rushing water over the rock formation provides relaxing sounds and another great area to enjoy the creek.

AREA ACTIVITIES
Black Springs is located 1-1/2 miles from Norman, AR. There is plenty to see and do while in the area. Lake Ouachita, Lake Hamilton, and Lake Greeson are all within a 30 minute drive; each of which provide great fishing, boating, and water sports. Favorite activities in the area include: Tubing the Caddo River, hiking trails, kayak & canoe rentals, fishing, golf, bird watching, wild life viewing & photography, sailing, horseback riding, digging for diamonds at the Arkansas State Diamond Mine in Murfreesboro, quartz crystals in Mount Ida, and massages at the Hot Springs National Park Spa Houses. All of these opportunities are generally within a 15 to 45 minute drive of the cabin. A quick online search will uncover much more.

The rain didn't cooperate but we still had a nice/peaceful weekend. The cabin is rustic and perfect for what we were looking for. Being right on the creek is a huge plus. We want to visit again in spring or early fall!

Everything was clean and in great shape, rooms were spacious and comfortable, and wifi was excellent. The location by the creek was fantastic, especially for the hot tub and grill. Also one of the better stocked kitchens and spice cabinets I’ve seen. Would highly recommend.

Great weekend trip!
This cabin was perfect for our family! Beds were comfortable and everything we needed in the kitchen was provided. The best part was access to the creek for the kids to play. They loved the tree swing and the rope to jump into the river. Charcoal grill, fire pit, and hot tub were wonderful too! My teen even built with the Lincoln logs in the cabin. Thanks for a great weekend!

Loved it!
We absolutely loved our stay! We only got to enjoy the cabin for 2 nights but we all wanted to stay longer. There were 6 of us and plenty of room. We arrived Friday evening and sat outside enjoying the sound of the creek and the fire pit. Saturday had us outside pretty much all day exploring all around the creek. Some of us got in the hot tub when it cooled off Saturday night and we all sat around the fire again. Roasted smores both nights. We would love to all go back one day!

Beautiful Cabin & Location
We had a great, relaxing experience at this cabin. The cabin and property are beautiful, along with the creek and all the trees. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit in the evening and the screened- in porch. If you are from a big city, you will appreciate the stargazing here as well. We recommend this cabin and hope to visit again in the future. Thanks for sharing this gem with others.

Great family getaway
We had a great time at the Lost Cabin! Perfect spot for a family with young children like ours. The kids had a blast exploring the property, playing in the creek, fishing, the tree swing, and making s’mores. It was great to find a place with some real seclusion and big property to enjoy. We appreciated that ample firewood is provided. Nice hikes nearby and reasonable drive to Hot Springs. Bonus was the well behaved local dog who kept us company outside the entire stay, it was hard for the kids to say goodbye to him! Definitely want to come back another time!

SLICE OF HEAVEN
This cabin is perfection! It was very clean and well kept. The location right on the creek was beautiful. We enjoyed walking the property, sitting in the hottub, and loving on the neighborhood dogs. We traveled to Mount Ida for lunch and thrift store shopping, but you don't need to leave this place, it has everything you need. The cabin is located pretty much on a dead end road. There is a farm of some kind just past it, so the traffic is very light. We saw three cars the entire weekend! We cant wait to come back during summer and enjoy the creek.

Myself, my mother, and best friend took a ladies getaway trip together. Our stay was absolutely magical, the cabin had everything we could have asked for and more. The hot tub was one of the best I've had the pleasure of using during a stay, the fireflies danced in the trees each evening, and the creek soothed our busy minds. No tv but they did offer wifi and that was perfect for us. It was wonderful to disconnect and relax in such a beautiful location. Super close to waterfalls and mining opportunities as well. We all agreed to book for at least three days next time we go since two was definitely not long enough for such a wonderful experience. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay here.

Amazing property! Cabin was awesome! We had such a relaxing stay. We enjoyed the creek, rock collecting, the hot tub, and most of all, the sweetest dog (black lab), Cooper! He was a little skinny so we left a bag of dog food on the screened in porch so everyone can feed him, and a black bowl out back that we got at the local DG. The last night he even brought his girlfriend, a small black Corgi, Zoey. We fed her some left over fries to go with that shake! Her owners came looking for her after dark, so she had to go home, but had a full belly and left with lots of pets. Bring treats for the dogs, they were the absolute best! We will be back for sure!

Long Weekend Get Away
We spent a three day weekend at the Lost Cabin at the Creek and everyone in our group loved the cabin. We came with our daughter and two older grandchildren. As soon as we drove up our grandson jumped out of the truck, grabbed his fishing gear and headed to the creek. He was so excited to catch some fish! The cabin was perfect and the kitchen had everything we needed from a coffee maker with a k-cup option to plenty of plates, pans and even a blender. In the evening we cooked out on the grill and roasted marshmallows for s'mores. It was nice to spend time as a family visiting and playing games in the evening. Oh and the beds are so comfortable too! We will definitely be back!

Perfect Getaway!
The pictures of the house on VRBO just don’t do it justice. It looks great online—but it is so much more wonderful in person. Incredibly clean. Well Stocked kitchen. Everything you could possibly need. We spent the mornings lounging on the porch and the evenings lounging in the hot tub. We took day trips to Little Missouri Falls (highly recommend) and Cossatot Falls (beautiful but difficult terrain to get the water). We also spent s day kayaking with Caddo River tours. My only regret is that we could not extend our stay! But, it’s definitely on the “return destination” list. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

I just can’t imagine a better place to stay, to rest and unplug from the sounds and overstimulation of life. The house was terrific! Clean, adorable, well stocked, and private. My 3rd grade daughter and I rented this cabin with friends who have 1st grade & 3rd grade kids and the idea of them all being content out in nature is not an obvious recipe for contentment, but we all had a marvelous time! The house was great and the creek was great (mostly only ankle to shin deep around the house area at the hot July time we were there but the water moved and was clear and crisp and so fun to just play in). The deeper area (the swimming hole) just over the grassy lot next to the house was marvelous! The kids played and swam for HOURS! We used the charcoal grill and the kitchen was compact but big enough for us to store and make food for the long weekend. Beds were comfortable. Shower had soap and shampoo/conditioner, etc. It was just a fabulous stay and I can’t wait to go back again! (My AT&T phone didn’t work well, but my companions version was fine. And you know, I didn’t even miss mine a bit!)
