"We were in town just for a couple of nights for a golf tournament. The unit was perfect for our needs. Check in process was a pleasure and there was absolutely no pressure to attend a time share tour as some had indicated in other reviews. Property was well kept and our room was very clean. "The first room we got checked into had fleas, but we contacted the front desk and they were able to put us into another newly renovated unit which was much nicer, had a better view and was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and they compensated the issue with the room by waving the resort fees and giving us a gift card. "

"Two coworkers and I stayed here while we attended a conference in Newport News. It was nice to have some distance from the conference hotel and be close to Colonial Williamsburg. The property itself isn't anything fancy. In fact, one of my coworkers commented that it reminded her of her mother-in-law's retirement center (haha), but it was clean, has easy parking, and had the space we needed for our fun work week. "We had a great stay. Since it was around a holiday, it was very busy in the area. There was some initial confusion regarding confirmation of our stay. Really glad that was figured out before our arrival. The unit was nice, spacious, and as advertised. We didn’t get a chance to use the resort amenities as it was a short stay. However, the grounds looked nice and well kept. Would definitely stay again."

" Very clean cabin. Big problem is that we did not realize, based on Expedia website, that linens and towels were not included. Luckily, there was a Walmart nearby and we were able to purchase the basics. Later, I did see that an email had been sent to us stating linens were not included, but I missed the email. It would have been helpful to have that noted in big print on Expedia when booking the cabin. "

The owners are extremely responsive which is a change from other VRBOs. If you have a large group and want to be a bit outside of downtown Williamsburg, I would highly recommend this wonderful house.
