The home was stocked on games, which was a huge plus as we had planned a family game night. We did have a minor set back with check in as the home wasn’t ready, but the cleaning service people were nice & apologetic. "This was a peaceful spot on west shore with two bedrooms -- one for us and one for our kids. The communication with the owner and check in process were as easy as can be. The only constructive note is that some of the cookware was not quite clean (and the tea pot no longer whistles, so pay close attention to your boiling water!). "We took our teens during winter for some fun in the snow. The location is great: close to downtown Truckee and all that Tahoe Donner has to offer. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. Other reviewers have mentioned that it is dated, and some of the fixtures and furnishings may be a bit dated, but everything was operational, comfortable, and this is one of the more affordably priced rentals in the area. "It was the ideal cabin for Lake Tahoe! I would note that this is not in South Lake City, but about 45 minutes north of it so just keep that in mind when booking as there is limited things to do in Tahoe City."
