"Quiet, clean, lovely spot with hot showers and adorable bungalows and garden right on the river. I was very happy with my stay and would return. On the downside the beds are quite firm as is standard in Laos (except for Luang Prabang) and there are many chickens crowing in the morning, but if you can’t handle it, Nong Khiaw is not the place for you, as their are chickens everywhere and no place is immune. "This was the best location in town next to the bridge ( which splits the town into two, with the best view from all its competitors right by the river .Bungalowsplaced apart for privacy ( not like the mandalo resort which we were interested in but just had lunch there). The restaurant which had great potential was a dark and uni Irina place ( a bit of colour needed perhaps some bright coloured tablecloths and some ethnic wall hangings).
