"Being in the Nubian village experience, if you love do mingle with the locals this is the place. We really enjoyed our stay. It's not in the city center but that is a good thing you can get anywhere quickly with their boat shuttle service. Or car service, I prefer the boat , car is not as relaxing "

"Its a lovely & colorful property, managed by some great people. Its located a bit far from the village below, but the ride to the property is worth it once you arrive and see the place. Lovely views of the Nile there. Also if you walk up at sunset, you get lovely views of it in d sand dunes. "

"A mixed bag, mostly decent. The hotel is on an island which has an efficient boat service connecting it to the dock. The gardens are really well maintained and pleasant. However, the hotel isn’t cheap and check in was not well managed - slow and unwelcoming. "We stayed overnight after a Nile cruise, opting to stay on the very “other worldly” Elephantine Island. No traffic here or bustling markets or street hawks. Step back in time hundreds of years. "The hotel was clean and comfortable, staff was really on the ball. They arranged a car for us to Luxor, with a couple of stops along the way (I recommend this). The only drawback for some people may be that it's adjacent to the bazaar. We found it charming to sit on the balcony and observe the hustle and bustle of the bazaar. Also, it closed at a reasonable hour. Still, if you want peace and quiet at 8am, you may want to at least ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. "

"Excellent hotel, nice specious rooms, clean bathrooms, great view and best breakfast. The only issue is the front desk staff and checkin process. Young man at the reception desk mixed up the rooms. We booked and paid extra for Nile River view. We were give one nice upgraded room, but second room was all the to the other side of the building without Nile River view. "
