"We are a family of 3 staying one night in a room with private bathroom. The woman that checked us in was polite and helpful. She pointed out the nearest Family Mart where we got dinner and the next morning's breakfast. Since everything closes early near the port the 20 minute walk to Family Mart was the closest place to get food. She pointed out that there was a dining area and kitchen on the 3rd floor so we didn't have to eat in our room. Where they went above and beyond was after we checked...

"町家を改装したゲストハウスということで、太い梁が見えるつくりになっていたり、照明が行灯風になっていたり、室内が和風で統一された空間になっています。古い建物を利用していて、それでいて清潔感があり、木の温もりを感じることができます。 客室について、ドミトリーでも障子で仕切られているため、プライバシーが保てます。 場所について、新潟駅からBRTに乗り、古町バス停から徒歩10分ほどでゲストハウスに着きます。位置がやや分かりにくいので、地図やゲストハウスのウェブサイトを見て確認したほうがいいと思います。周囲の古町はお洒落なカフェ等があり、若い人が街を盛り上げようとしているのが伝わってきました。特にゲストハウスお手製のマップは必見です。"
