This apartment was perfectly located in the heart of Old Town Nice -- close to everything: the shops, the beach, the pubs, grocers, and an awesome restaurant just a few steps away (more on it later) -- but far enough away (a couple of blocks from Gelato Square) to avoid late-night revelry. It was clean, with dishwasher, washer/dryer and an elevator (lift), which I'm told is special in Old Town. Giovanni and his manager, Isabelle, were warm, caring, enthusiastic and helpful with whatever we needed.
About that restaurant -- Ristorante Acchiardo is a small, VERY popular, VERY special place. Italian cuisine, authentic. Between it and the Spar (Irish Pub) and Shapko (Jazz Club), all within steps, we had all the nearby nightlife we needed. Our cute little studio apt was a bit smaller than the 1-bedroom we thought we'd rented, but it turned out it was all we needed. Highly recommended.
