This was a super-clean place, artfully and nicely decorated. Clear effort to make guests feel at home! But apparently, "lower level" means "basement level" in Canada? Anyway, the full flight of stairs was a big surprise and a real challenge for us (one week out from knee surgery) - we thought lower level meant first floor. Also, the ad seemed to indicate this VRBO would be in NOTL, but it's not - it's in Virgil - so we did have to drive more than we'd planned. It's also VERY cold (understandable as the AC needed to cool the upstairs spaces and it was 90F outside), and seems to have just a grinder-style toilet. No biggie, just not great. But most importantly, we had real concerns about emergency egress from the basement. There's a small window at head height that's supposed to serve as the emergency exit. But it appears to be caulked shut and there's no way we could have gotten up to it (or through it even if we could). So all in all, really not awful - and again, a tasteful, quite roomy place, clean, lots of nice stuff about it. But with some problems, especially if you have mobility issues and we think those should be disclosed.
