But I left our rental car in the parking (which is behind the building FYI don't make the mistake and pay for parking up front!) and hopped on the train as it was only one block away. "The hotel front desk staff were very organized. We had shipped our luggage earlier from Tokyo and they had it ready for us on arrival. The man at the front desk always stopped to give my children Halloween candy. The room is spacious. The area around the hotel is great, close to a grocery store, Don Quixote, Daiso, it’s 3 minute walk to Shinsekai, 8 minutes walk to Tennoji Zoo etc. also walkable to Dotonburi and Namba. "We stayed in this property for five nights and absolutely loved it. The room was spacious, clean, and had all of the things we needed for a great stay in Kyoto. I’ll focus on two of our biggest needs as a family of four - transportation and food. Transportation - bus stops right outside and across the street.
