"My partner and I recently stayed at Horwood House Hotel for a Valentine's Day getaway. The hotel is tucked away in a peaceful, green setting, offering a quiet retreat perfect for a romantic break. They were nice enough to upgrade for special Valentine's Day£30, which included petals on the bed, strawberries, and a glass of champagne. BUT we only got the petals. The spa, unfortunately, was a bit of a disappointment. It was clearly not designed to accommodate a large number of guests, with the sauna and steam room being particularly small. The space for relaxation in the actual spa area was minimal, and the pool was cold during our stay. However, there is a separate section of the spa that provides a charming relaxation area, complete with a cozy space for breakfast if you choose to enjoy that as part of your package. We had a 20-minute head massage in one of the treatment rooms, which was a lovely experience. I found it to be relaxing, although the squeaky beds made it difficult to fully unwind. The dining experience at the hotel was a highlight. Upon arrival, we enjoyed drinks and snacks at the bar, which had a great atmosphere. we ordered a pizza from Domino's on the first night convenient, but we were disappointed to find that room service was left outside our door for an extended period of time, from evening until the morning. we enjoyed an afternoon tea in the hotel restaurant, which was a lovely treat. the restaurant was elegant and classy food was delicious "

"Lovely location right by the river. Hotel is spotless and staff were all very helpful although it was understaffed for demand at the bar with long queues because of the glorious weather. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Would recommend this hotel. "

"TV doesn't work, the door to the toilet doesn't close properly. The carpet is stained, basically it needs to spend money on improvement. Ok for a single night, but we won't choose the hotel again."

"Close to the airport"

"Hotel was great! Rooms were good size, clean and had everything we needed, and we got an upgrade to track side room which made the stay. We had a small issue with the fridge in our room, hotel staff addressed it immediately and made sure it was corrected. Perfect spot to stay if driving at Silverstone or doing anything track related. Easy walk to Silverstone museum also. Staff were great and food at restaurant was good. If you want to have dinner at the restaurant during your stay make a reservation before you get to hotel or you might not get in. If you don’t have a vehicle there are no other really close dining options. Hotel has laundry facility which was great, wash is 3 pounds and a dryer load is also 3 pounds. No issue to get a car service from Milton Keynes central station to hotel, about 30 pounds each direction. If needing car back to station be prepared might take 30 min or so for car to get to hotel to pick you up if no car in area already. We would stay here again if we are back visiting."
