However, if it is relaxation you are wanting, this glorious stretch of sand is ideal for lazy days in the sun.
The seaside village of Porth offers a range of cafés and pubs to enjoy, or spend a day unwinding at the spa located at a local hotel a short walk away. There is a friendly pub just across the beach serving local ales and home cooked food, a favourite with visitors and locals alike. The pub offers a terrace that is right on the sand! Golf, horse riding, surf lessons and bike hire are all available locally.
Porth is just a short walk from the popular coastal town of Newquay. Why not spend a day here to explore the towns surf culture, shops, cafés and restaurants, or discover the variety of animals in the zoo. Just a short walk in the other direction, along the coastal path, brings you to Watergate Bay, home to a kite surfing centre. Other popular tourist destinations including Padstow, Truro, St Ives and Fowey are all easily reached, a must see to experience all that this beautiful county has to offer. Beach 15 yards.
