Oceanfront serenity awaits the two of you at Ocean Wind Retreat, a very romantic getaway spot. Dog friendly, view of the light house from the bedroom with a queen size bed and TV. Free WIFI. There is a full bath with a tub/shower combination. The front room has a kitchenette: fridge, coffee maker, micro-wave, toaster, electric wok (there is no oven or range) and utensils. A gas Cuisinart BBQ is available for private use by the deck on the ocean side of the front yard.

The front room has a Captains Bed perched high to optimize comfort and the scenery outdoors. Step outside to a spacious oceanfront deck and yard, or seek out the path overlooking the beach with love seat and complete privacy. A large indoor soaking tub for two, beautifully tiled, with ocean views and an indoor sauna add to the rest and relaxation of this wonderful retreat! The bedroom: queen bed, open closet, dresser, TV and "fire" light for ambience, has a view of the light house. Host provides flowers and gift basket free of charge.

A favorite vacation, birthday and honeymoon spot. Located at the South end of Nye Beach in Newport, OR, just next door to Georgie's Beach side grill for scrumptious dining. Enjoy the Newport Performing Arts Center, many area restaurants, art galleries, wine tasting and several music venues. Less than 3 minutes to the Newport Bayfront, Hatfield Marine Science Center or the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Walking distance to two parks.

This apartment is on the ground floor, with a permanent residence above where the host/owner is available if needed. A wonderful location for the artist, writer, editor or anyone just seeking quiet solitude for inspiration. Please adhere to the policy of No Smoking. One dog is allowed; call owner regarding extra pet.

Fantastic location, great amenities
Ocean Wind Retreat would be great just on the basis of its location and its fantastic views of the waves rolling in, but Jeannie's little touches elevated our stay, from the art on the walls to the welcome basket and the clear communication about checking. We're hoping to stay here again next year.

The location was perfect and the ocean views were amazing. My wife and I enjoyed a wonder 3 nights. The sauna was a great bonus on those cool nights.

Very pleasant visit
The house was immaculate. Jeannie is a very good hostess supplying us with treats, cheese and wine. She even bought a toy for our dogs. Although our visits with her personally were limited, I found her very charming. I would like to stay with her on our next visit to Newport.

Beautiful Ocean View!
This was a beautiful place to stay for a week. It is an apartment on the bottom floor, which it clearly states, so there is some floor noise, so if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs. Host was so nice, and the view was incredible! Very comfortable. So much nicer than a hotel, glad we stayed there! This place is now on our favorites!

Our host Jeannie went above and beyond to make our stay phenomenal. Place is on Nye Beach. We used this property as our main base for exploring the Oregon Coast. Home is as advertised and does not disappoint. Jeannie left goodies and fresh flowers for us and our pup. Loved our stay and would stay again !!

Relaxing, comfortable, perfect location
We had a very relaxing stay at Oceanwind. Absolutely perfect location, felt very quiet and secluded but just seconds from the beach, and a nice walk into town. The place itself was comfortable, clean, and full of nice little touches provided by Don and Jeannie. A couple nearby restaurants we enjoyed: La Maison for breakfast (incredible, and get some pastries to go). Local Ocean Seafood, Saffron Salmon.

Don and Jennie are the greatest. They are our finest friends now!
Absolutely wonderful property. My wife and I always go to recharge our live and experience the peaceful surroundings. Don and Jennie are uniquely generous and they have raised the VRBO to an art form. This has been (and will be) the best VRBO arraignment we have ever known.
