Great vacation spot!
This property was perfect for our group of adults and teens. We had such a great time biking around town and spending time together enjoying the house. The location is perfect, being close to the beach and the bay and centrally located near shops and the ferry. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful Balboa rental
We had a huge family stay here. It's a beautiful place and a great location. We had a lot of fun riding bikes around, going to the beach, and eating delicious food. If we decide to vacation in Balboa again, we would definitely stay here again.

A great space for a family reunion
We had plenty of space, great amenities, easy access to the beach and bay. The dorm-style bedroom with bunks and daybeds worked well for the kids.

Perfect Getaway Vacation Home
Great location -- walking distance from beach and many restaurant choices Loved the beach-cart and coolers provided for an afternoon at the beach! All 8 of us had plenty of room and we really enjoyed the patio with fireplace - it was a perfect place to hang out and catch up. I would definitely come back with my family, everything about the place was nice and accommodating. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay!

The house was beautiful and very clean. Everything you would need is provided in the kitchen. The very short walk to the beach or the bay was very easy. Just a heads up that the bedroom 4 that is listed does not have a door. It is more like a loft. The room was huge and had lots of beds but for our teenagers that like to sleep in, the noise from downstairs was no fun in the mornings. Other wise the house and space was perfect.

Great Christmas Memories
A wonderful house to spend Christmas with 3 adult children. We each had enough space to enjoy time alone and with others. Short walk to the beach and bay and the bikes were an extra treat. We, along with our dogs enjoyed the outdoor spaces.

The property looks just like the pictures - everything is in good condition and works well. One block either direction to the beach - harbor or ocean to choose from. Our two year old grandson loved the ocean! I would go there again - but it is on the expensive side

Beautiful beach house.
We had the pleasure of staying at this property for our annual family beach vacation and had a wonderful time. The house is well-maintained with lots of room. The second floor patio area was a great hit with everyone. Doug the owner was very responsive and instructions for the property was very clear. Parking was also very easy for the beach.

Ideal location
We thought the property itself was great for 6 adults & 4 teens. (who shared the upstairs loft). Great home with lots of room for food. Dining table was perfect for meals & games. Our only minor complaint was were told 5 bikes but 2-had flat tires. That’s reason for 4stars as well as slight hassle getting check in info but owner was super responsive. We would possibly rent again but quite pricey!

Family fun
This house is beautiful and in a perfect location. The beach right across the street is convenient and less crowded than beach closer to the piers. Loved having access to bikes and beach gear. Hosts are responsive and property is in great condition. Perfect setup for a mini family reunion. Property is as nice, if not nicer, in person as it appears in photos. We would highly recommend this vacation property and would love to stay again!

Beautiful home with all the amenities!
The home is immaculate and feels much larger than the 3117 sq feet. All of the furniture, appliances, etc. are new and high-quality. Our family appreciated all the details like the bikes, boogie boards, beach toys and beach towels! Doug was super helpful and flexible with our last minute booking as well. We highly recommend this home!

Beautiful Place, Worth the Money!
We loved our stay on the Balboa Peninsula! There were 7 adults and 2 kids (ages 2 and 5) in our party and we had plenty of space! House is very well decorated, and came equipped with everything we needed (blender, crockpot, bikes, towels, etc). We walked to the beach every day (just a 5 min walk). Our whole group biked down to both piers multiple times during our stay - Newport pier and Balboa pier - so they are not too far. I would highly recommend this place for families!

Chic yet comfortable home with terrific location.
Despite a few hiccups at check in, Doug was extremely responsive from the start and extremely helpful at every turn. We had our company retreat here and it was spacious, well appointed, beautifully designed, and has a great ambiance and feel. Despite 'working' while at the home, it was a try joy and exudes a feeling of high style combined with comfort. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend for families, a girl's weekend, a corporate retreat or a staycation.

"Mom's" Weedend Away
Beautiful and spacious house!!! It was perfect for a girls getaway and would be great for a few couples getting away as well. Everything was just as noted on the site. Miles of gorgeous beach are truly just across the street. We used the bikes at the house and rented a few others and rode along the coast. The ferry to Balboa Island is a short bike ride away. Looking forward to another visit soon!
