The neighborhood has enough to offer you wouldn't need to leave to keep yourself occupied- in the summer there is an Olympic size heated swimming pool and lake to take part in swimming. The 40 acre lake can also be enjoyed by paddle boat, canoe, and kayak. There is a game room with ski ball, arcade type games, ping pong, and air hockey. Billiards room is set up with 2 tables. There are pickle ball and tennis courts. Two walking trails one along the Linville river and the other around the lake. Trout fishing is available in the Linville River, right in the neighborhood. Linville Land Harbor golf course for those looking to take a swing. All that and you haven't got out of the neighborhood.

Grandfather mountain is only 6 miles away. Eseeola Spa is 4 miles away. Three ski slopes within a 30 minute drive- Sugar, Beech, Appalachian. Banner Elk is a 20 minute drive, Boone is a 30 minute drive. Close enough to get there but far enough to be out of the traffic. More hiking than you can do in a month very close by. Linville gorge and Falls no farther than 15 minutes away. Linville caverns, Wiseman's view, Linn cove viaduct, the list can go on. Two winery's close by- Linville Falls Winery and Grandfather Mountain Winery. Come for a weekend or awhile and enjoy the NC high country.

We Love Linville Land Harbor
Jeremy was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any issues we had. I would caution future renters that the house does not have air conditioning. This is not directly stated in the description of the house, but rather not listed as an amenity. The fault is completely mine for not noticing, not the host's, but I just thought I might save someone else a surprise. For July, the weather was not miserable, with highs in the low 80's. It was the humidity that got us. Our bag of candy from Mast General Store turned into a gooey mess due to the high humidity, both from the temperature and daily storms. We went to Lowe's and bought some fans, which did help matters. I would recommend this rental overall. Linville Land Harbor is an incredible place to stay with all the included facilities, and the location can't be beat for accessing Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Blowing Rock. We had anywhere from 4 to 9 people staying at the home throughout the week, and there was room for all.

We enjoyed that the property was so centrally located to Linville Falls, Linville Winery, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Grandfather Mountain. We spent most of our time exploring the sites in the area, but it was nice to come back and relax on the front deck with some wine and whiskey in the evenings! The owner provided so many amenities and it was great that we could bring our dog with us!
