The famous Ocean Road is easily accessed, where there is an abundance of Indian cuisine to choose from. The town is also home to a large park where free concerts and events are held. Arbeia Roman Fort is worth a visit and the Ocean Beach Pleasure Park is ideal for all ages. Just through the Tyne Tunnel and you will shortly be in Tynemouth with beaches, aquarium, abbey and lots of lovely shops, cafés and restaurants. Travel further north, you can spend a day exploring the Northumberland Heritage Coast and inland you will come to Hadrian’s Wall or the National Park.
