The Bathers Way is a premier coastal walk, which stretches six kilometers across stunning vistas from Merewether Baths all the way to Nobbys Beach. From every step of the walk, you’ll find spectacular views showcasing the golden sands of Newcastle and Nobbys Lighthouse. With the rich history of this area, you’ll be left in awe.
Newcastle Foreshore is a park which spans 11 hectares, kissing the border of the harbour, beaches, and culturally significant sites. This reclaimed land offers stunning views of the harbour and is an excellent place to settle down for a relaxing picnic. The playground offers an excellent escape for the kids while parents enjoy the serenity of the area. Once you’ve finished exploring, make sure to head to one of the many nearby eateries.
The Blackbutt Nature Reserve spans an impressive 182 hectares of amazing bushland, and with free entry to wildlife exhibits, this is the perfect setting for a family day out. Whether you want to admire the wildlife from afar or get up close and personal to feed the emus, there’s plenty for the whole family. For those with kids, be sure to purchase an activity pack to venture on a scavenger hunt.
Newcastle Museum is a vibrant center with constantly rotating exhibits. Some local treasures honour the history of the Hunter Nurses of the Great War, the Model T Ford, Indigenous history and culture, and other history beloved to the region.

Age Limit: We do not accept reservations for groups with travelers under the age of 23 years unless a specific exception has been approved. Travelers under the age of 23 that are traveling with a family group with a parent are more then welcome to stay with us.
Supplies: A complimentary welcome pack will be provided that includes several single-use items to get you started including tea, coffee, sugar, creamer, soap, laundry, and dishwashing supplies. For extended stays, please bring extra provisions.
