Upscale Cottage On The Atlantic Ocean, Feet in Sand

This charming home was built in 2004 (upgraded in 2024) with a lot of attention to detail. The Atlantic Ocean is just steps from the door of this upscale seaside cottage located on Plum Island Beach. All rooms have large windows that face the ocean that allow in the gentle sea breezes and ocean sounds-- there is nothing like ocean waves providing the soundtrack for your vacation! The house is equipped with central air, a cooks kitchen, and sectional sleep sofa all blend quite well in the open concept on the first floor. The entertainment center includes a DVD player & receiver. First floor also includes a bedroom with a queen size bed, and a 3/4th bathroom. Upstairs is a master suite concept with full size laundry.

Enjoy the panoramic views or soak up the sun from the skylights. The master bath includes a 3 person whirlpool tub and walk in shower. Steps from the king size bed is a private deck that is perfect for morning coffee. There is also a small office nook/ area on the backside of the upstairs bathroom that has a queen air mattress if needed. One step outside the door and off the porch there is a large private sanded area that allows for any beach games, relaxing or cooking out that you desire. Walk right out the front door to the public beach where you are free to embark in more beach activity or take a swim! If Stairs are Not available and there is no access there is is a public beach access a few houses to the left as well as another access a little further to the right. The house is designed for 6 adults. It can hold more. But there are 2 real beds 1 sofa bed and a queen air mattress. Well behaved dogs upon request but no other house pets will be allowed.

Highly recommend and will definitely stay again sometime. The only thing that I could suggest is for a screen door on the front for ocean view and the path to the beach was not so easy. Overall wonderful!!!!

House is right on the water with an amazing sunrise view every morning. Walking distance to 2 little stores and The Beachcomber which has amazing food and drinks. Kitchen was equipped with everything needed to cook or grill outside. Highly recommend this beautiful beach cottage

The house fit our needs well. Could use some cosmetic fixes but that didn’t interfere without fun. Bestie loved the jetted tub upstairs. Loved to hear the ocean at night falling asleep. Enjoyed being able to step out the door right onto the beach.

First Trip to Plum Island
Our family had the best time celebrating our son's wedding this past weekend. Randy, thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family. We are already planning on returning every year - we arrived, fell in love with Plum Island and the location of Randy's home. The home was fully stocked with anything and everything we could need. Loved the location and the upstairs suite. Plenty of outdoor chairs
The property has a few broken things, but it is at the end of the season. Needs some attention to details like: no hair dryer even tho it said there was one, no wine glasses to speak of, the recliner chair and door to master bedroom broken but overall was great. Lots of extra Junk in drawers/cabinets as well.

Amazing Plum Island
Another amazing stay on Plum Island. This was our second time at the house, and we had a fabulous time. The location absolutely cannot be beat, it’s right on the beach. The house was clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. Our son, daughter-in-law and two children stayed with us a couple of nights on the holiday weekend, and there was plenty of room for everyone. On the plus side was the cleanliness, all the supplies, the washer/dryer, the space and (most importantly), the ideal location. We also appreciated the manager’s swift responses to any questions we had. On the minus side, the house is in need of some cosmetic updates/repairs. In addition, some neighbors (and their guests) had permission to cross through the property on their way to the beach, which did infringe on and disrupt our privacy. The positives did outweigh the negatives, and we would certainly return (more likely on the off-season next time) to this wonderful beach house.

Great Place!
This was a perfect place for a romantic getaway. We loved how close it was to the Wildlife Refuge for jogging, walking and wildlife, and also walking distance to some wonderful neighborhood eateries. We almost never got in the car! Newburyport is a charming historic town about 5 miles away, easily bike able. We also loved the hot tub and listening to the ocean from the bedroom, and sitting in beach chairs overlooking the ocean from a sandy overlook in front of the house. Beach access is a bit tricky right from the house due to large rip rap rocks, and the beach area is narrow, so swimming might involve a walk about a block away to the nearest public access. Since we visited in fall, this was not an issue, and we actually liked the more difficult access since it kept screaming kids and barking dogs away and it was very peaceful at the house. Only suggestions are for the kitchen, a coffee bean grinder and a few more wine glasses and smaller glasses would be great.

The property has a wonderful location and neighborhood. The beach is beautiful. Unfortunately, I can not rate the inside of the property as I can the outside. We found the place to be in need of some thorough cleaning. There was mold in the showers, particularly in the bathroom upstairs. The windows were extremely dusty. The closet doors had a layer of dust on them. There is old and dusty items in the closets and drawers. The place needs cleaning, furniture needs to be updated (particularly the couch) and old, dirty items should be removed from closets and cabinet, window shades cleaned or replaced and some new, fresh linens too. We feel the property has great potential and we would consider returning if these upgrades are done. We hope this is helpful in creating a successful vacation home.

Failed Beach Access & Property! . Owner Absent & Should Full Refund Immediately-Must Fix imediately
This was our 2nd stay in 2 years. First stay was great but this stay was horrid! Beach access washed away, protective beach fence gone, gas outdoor fireplace gone, house in terrible ill-repair. Owner is absent and didn’t care to address any of our concerns when we contacted them during our stay. We paid a great deal of money for a failed stay and failed property. The owner should reimburse our full payment immediately and make safety repairs We are 14+ year VRBO Premier Waterfront Property Hosts and ABB Súper Hosts with 400+ 5 Star Reviews. We would never dare ask for payment for such a failed property with failed waterfront access. We would never refuse to address our guests concerns like has been done here. We would immediately refund our guests if we had so grossly misrepresented our property like what has happened here. We also recommended important safety repairs 2 years ago at the property and they have never been addressed in 2 years! When we contacted the host during this stay about no access to the beach and no protective fence from the beach that was here 2 years ago and at every other property and he didn’t care and did nothing to address these major property failures. The only acceptable resolution would be a full refund and immediate resolution of the failed property issues including :installation: of steps to beach, protective property fence at waterfront side, outdoor gas fireplace, property safety and maintenance repairs,etc.

We enjoyed being able to walk out the door and have feet in the sand. The home is equipped with all we needed as we brought food for our meals. Fortunately we had great weather. A definite return will be happening.
