Summary:
Retreat to the peaceful banks of Chalk Pond, minutes to both Lake and Mount Sunapee! This newly-renovated 5-BR chalet is perfect for friends and family looking to relax by the water and enjoy the quaint towns of Newbury and New London. Home is truly water-front, with outdoor porch, hot tub, firepit, and dock. Includes living room, basement, full kitchen. Well-appointed with top-of-market finishes, furniture, and supplies.

The Space:
Whole home on Chalk Pond with private dock. Chalk Pond is a small lake, great for kayaking and canoeing. Note there are no motorized boats allowed. Swimming is at your own risk / discretion.

Guest Access:
Contactless check-in with smartlock.

The Neighborhood:
Located in Chalk Pond Community, including access to tennis courts, playground, and beach. Please note there are no fireworks allowed.

Getting Around:
Car required. Parking is available in the slot in front of the house off the street and can accommodate 2 cars only. Please plan on bringing no more than two vehicles as any cars parked on the street will be towed by the HOA.

Wildlife: This is a home in a rural part of the country. You may see wildlife including deer, coyotes, foxes, and bears. Please be mindful of your surroundings and leaving out food and trash.

Weather: In the winter, there will be snow, ice, and occasional snowstorms. We recommend driving a vehicle with AWD or 4WD. Please drive with caution and be prepared with regards to the ability of your vehicle to drive in the snow.

Power & Internet: This is a rural part of the country. You may lose power or internet during inclement weather. We do not issue refunds for loss of power or internet out of our control.

Air conditioning: There's a total of 6 mini-split units at the house. There is one in each bedroom (except the basement bedroom) and one in each living-room. The basement living-room unit cools the basement bedroom well enough.

Cancellation Policy: We cannot make any exceptions to our cancellation policy. Please consider traveler’s insurance.

Lakefront 5 bedroom chalet
Great spot on Chalk Pond! Nice spacious home with plenty of bedrooms. Beautiful view of the pond. Easy to get into the water for swimming or boating or bob paddle boarding . Loved the hot tub and decks which were safe for our 2 year old granddaughter. Nice playground and tennis court down the street. Close to lake sunapee state park.

We had a wonderful time at Chalk Pond! Great place for young children. The only negative is the parking situation. We were told only 2 cars could fit in the parking area, but we were able to squeeze in 3. A fourth car had to be parked off site. Everything else was great and I would highly recommend this location if you are looking for a nice quiet spot. There are several places close by to hike and just a few minutes from Lake Sunapee.

Awesome place for a 40th birthday group
Amazing place for a good price for a group. The hot tub was perfect, tons of breakout space if people needed alone time. Super comfortable beds, quiet location. Probably the best place I've ever rented. The host was very responsive quickly to any questions, while also leaving us alone to enjoy the weekend. Would return here 100%.

Wonderful Lakehouse
The house was quite lovely. It was very clean and had good light quality. The beds and linens were excellent. The kitchen had all the necessary items for preparing extensive diners, which we did several times. The location on the small lake was awesome. Although it was winter, we hung outside around the firepit and hot tub. The hot tub was fabulous. The close proximity to Mt. Sunapee was a real plus. We went snowboarding at number of times. We would certainly return to this house.
