"We were only here for one night but we would definitely stay again. It was nice to be able to control the room temperature with a traditional radiator thermostat. The room was nice and warm when we arrived but at night we were able to cool it right down. Other hotels we’ve stayed at recently have been very cold. The staff went above and beyond to help us, the young gentleman on reception organised a taxi for us and was so polite and professional. The only problem was the shower didn’t seem to...

"Hotel was fantastic, staff excellent, food brilliant, room lovely, spa great but busy when we went, signage around the hotel was lacking and due to the long winding corridors, it took us a couple of days to work out the most efficient routes between A & B. "

"I have stayed before & I like the place & people; slightly disappointed that there was no effort to clear the car park of snow or indeed the path up to the door - it was very dangerous. No grit or salt laid either. They did say they had a shovel ! "

"Long time since I had been to this Hotel and my memories were that about 15 years ago it was a tired looking place. I was aware that there had been a refurb and was pleasantly surprised with the look of the hotel, our room was lovely and the King size bed was fantasticly comfortable. My wife loved the Spa and used it everyday. The location is excellent for exploring Harrogate the only downside was the £15 a day parking fee which for a paying guest is a bit much. "Despite lots of negative reviews we enjoyed our stay here decent check in pleasant lady - room was set up for family but it didn’t hinder anything copious amounts of hot water bath and shower available. Hotel is going through refurbishing so you get what you pay for- car parking is £5 so not out of the way-bar and food prices are reasonable. We used it purely as a stop over for Leeds Bradford Airport due to forecast bad weather conditions. It met expectations !!"

"Historic hotel so quite a maze inside ! Met one elderly gentleman who was lost !! Signage was confusing. Room was comfortable & decent size. We were there when it was frosty outside for three days and the room wasn’t overly warm. Not helped by the fact - discovered on day 2, that we had a bathroom window which was open !! Leave a note to tell people please ?? Excellent breakfast & friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay "

"This cosey cottage had everything we needed. The dog loved his walks and having his bed by the log burner. The children loved everything about Grassington, the shops, cafes, walks and a lovely meal at The Devonshire. Perfectly proportioned for a family of four with a dog, the cottage was a great base for us to explore from. . "

"Hotel is very nice. Room and customer areas are spotless. Room is comfortable, though you can hear the road noise quite a bit. Staff are very friendly and helped me with the projector in the conference room. Breakfast was excellent. Thank you "

Great hotel

"Fantastic place to stay. We used it as a base to visit the lakes and dales for a couple of days. Hotel/pub was in a lovely little village. We were in the Superior room which had a lovely view overlooking the river. Room itself was big with a nice comfortable double bed. Cleanliness was ok, room had clearly been cleaned however just a few marks on the wall. This didn't matter too much or affect our stay. Bathroom was a good size and clean. Could have done with some toiletries (no shower gel provided). Breakfast was fabulous - pastries, cereals and full English and great quality!! We ate in the bar one of the evenings, food was good and reasonably priced. Parking was free. Staff were nice, in particular Dave who was great and couldn't be more helpful!!! We will definitely return as there is so much more to explore in the area and would 100% choose The New Inn as our base. "
