Cottage by the Woods - Quiet getaway - In Oregon wine country.

The Cottage is located in beautiful Chehalem Valley. It is nestled near a wooded area in the middle of Oregon's wine country. Calkins Lane Loop has seven wineries. The cottage hosts a full kitchen. There is a bedroom on the first floor with a queen-sized bed. The first floor also has a bathroom with a shower and tub. The open living space has a spacious dining table, chairs, and a large comfy couch. A second bedroom with a queen size bed and four twin beds is located on the second floor. The front porch is covered and provides shade in the summer and spectacular sunset views. The large backyard has a pavilion for shade as well. The cottage is located minutes from downtown Newberg and George Fox University. Enjoy the quiet country setting while watching the rescue stallions play on our acreage behind the house.

A lovely getaway!
A lovely house in wine country with lots of room to spread out and an incredible back yard. We wish we could have stayed longer and we would certainly love to stay here again the next time we are in the area.

We just stayed one night, and it was peaceful—truly a beautiful location. I would recommend this location for families who want a space in the country; it isn't convenient for restaurants or entertainment. The beds were uncomfortable and the linens were old.

Great place to stay for a winery weekend
We (one couple plus a friend) stayed at Cottage by the Woods for a wine tasting weekend and it was the perfect place. Located next to a quiet horse farm amongst the wineries we had made appointments to visit, close to downtown Newberg. The cottage had comfortable beds, nice common areas, a wonderful outdoor space, and rustic character. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to stay again for our next winery weekend.

CHARMING COTTAGE
Storybook cottage with antiques and vintage furniture and touches, immaculately clean and welcoming. Bed linens are very nice and surrounding property is lovely and perfect for outdoor relaxing. Would return for a longer stay if available sometime!

We dropped our daughter off at George Fox university and the cottage was a perfect place to retreat back to and relax and reflect. Only 7 minutes from Newberg and you were out in the country. Highly recommend!

Lovely cottage
We stayed only one night because we had an event to attend and then wine tasted in the area. Loved this charming little cottage and wish we had more time here. The house was cozy, clean and comfortable and the yard was beautiful. We enjoyed having coffee in the morning watching the sunrise. Great location - so close to a few of our favorite wineries. Communication with the hosts was great-they answered any questions very quickly. Can't wait to visit again!

Very nice property in the quiet countryside. The owner was wonderful and wanted the guests to have a worry free stay. Very few rules. Wonderful winery less than one mile down the road.

This accommodating home has a very beautiful setting. Surrounded by nature with happy birds & fruit trees, we loved just hanging quietly before our wedding event. This home is located in the midst of beautiful wine country. Rural, scenic, private, and quiet. The home was immaculate and very well appointed. Great outdoor area for relaxing and BBQ. Situated with quick access to wineries, good restaurants and brewpubs. Coast is about 1.5 hours away.

Darling, would rent again!
Quick mother-daughter overnight in wine country. The house was easy to find, it was adorable, and we slept really well. Very clean, comfortable accommodations. Gorgeous antique furniture pieces. Cooked dinner, watched the game, drank some wine, and enjoyed some down time together. Hosts were easy to communicate with and check in and check out was very smooth. Totally recommend.

20th Anniversary
One night stay allowing us to enjoy 2 wineries and lovely dinner in Carlton. So enjoyed the horses in the morning and ability to walk to a winery just up the road. Would love to come again. House was more than perfect. Comfortable, quiet, well stocked and well situated. Thank you!

Perfect Country Home
We loved our stay...unfortunately due to our family obligations for the wedding we attended we did not get to spend nearly as much time there as we had wished. Everything we could possibly need for our stay was there, it was spotlessly clean...we could not have been happier with the property. Our visits with Wilbur the cat and observing the horses were highlights of our trip. The home was so cozy and comfortable. Thank you!!

Wine country retreat
This is an absolutely lovely home, perfect for a wine country retreat! Great location! The property is amazing,, beautiful magnolia trees in bloom along with other flowers and natural foliage. The weather was a little too chilly to enjoy the outdoor eating area, but how delightful it will be on a warm summer evening! Hosts were great, Sharey was even there to greets us we arrived. I will look forward to booking again, a little later in the summer.
