Beautiful, romantic log home in a private setting. Hot tub on closed in back porch for privacy. Features include gas log fireplace(in season) , queen bed, bathroom with shower, charcoal grill. Heat/Ac. Large open floorplan. Five min from Cave area
The Nest is the newest addition to our family. With a large, open living room and kitchen, you'll have everything you need for a cozy night in with the TV and prepare meals. The cabin itself is decorated in local art and an Appalachian theme, with local magazines and resources available to you. At the side of the cabin you'll discover the screened in porch, where you can sit and enjoy the view of the woods or soak in your private hot tub. At the back of the cabin is your bedroom and bathroom.

This cabin was cute and hot tub was great. Overall the cabin could be a bit cleaner, more towels, cooking items, place to hang wet clothes or a dryer, need wifi and/or cable, more games, and new deck of playing cards would be nice.

Relaxing
Hubby and I wanted a relaxing fall weekend away, and this place delivered. The only warning I have for you though is that there a NO WIFI and NO CELL SERVICE. The tv only works with dvds, and we had wanted to cozy up to spooky movies we had on our streaming services, BUT they do have a selection of movies there and we found some we enjoyed. The place was clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed (including a corkscrew with a bottle opener). It was secluded and surrounded by a beautiful wooded area that the hot tub faces. The porch swing is not there anymore, so that was a little disappointing. But again, although no WI-FI we thoroughly enjoyed a quiet, peaceful stay for our weekend away.

Has potential
We have been using VRBO for a long time and have frequented Hocking hills for at least 10 years. I only bring this up because I rely heavily on reviews to help me make my rental decisions. This trip was last minute and we booked this cabin without a lot of reviews to go by. We found the cabin to be very clean. Its on a road with little car noise. It’s basically just one big room with one available bedroom accessible to renters. The unit was decorated nicely with the bare minimum to cook with. If you like to cook, bring your measuring cups, etc. with you. The bed was very firm which I did not mind. We were really looking forward to using the swing on the porch and that was actually one of the reasons why we booked the unit. Unfortunately, the listing was not accurate. There is no swing as advertised. The pictures also make it look like there is a recliner sofa to relax on but that is also inaccurate. The only place one can recline is a chair in the corner of the cabin. Some of the kitchen table chairs and stools were very loose and likely to fail if someone heavy sits on them. I’ve never really needed Wi-Fi in Hocking Hills but it might have been nice for this stay as we were unable to speak to renters. We were warned of a boil-water mandate nearby and wanted to check on it starting a day before we arrived. During the trip we tried to get more info but we’re unable to reach anyone until receiving a voicemail on the last day explaining cell service is bad.

We really enjoyed unplugging from our phones and relaxing in and out of the hot tub! The cabin was very clean and inviting. I would recommend this cabin to anyone for a little romantic getaway and to relax and unwind!

Great Weekend Getaway
This was perfect for our anniversary weekend getaway! It was very clean with a cute, open floor plan and high ceilings. We loved the hot tub and the location! Close to Ash Cave for some good hiking! Would love to come back again.

Squeaky clean cabin and decorated very nicely. Property manager communicated well and was well organized. Very cozy cabin and no internet or TV service but was fun to unplug and watch movies and do puzzles. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back to the Nest!

Charming and centralized!
We extremely enjoyed our stay, charming cabin, with beautiful views . It was a short trip to Hocking Hills sites, and after a long day of hiking a peaceful soak in the hot tub was amazing. Cellular internet didn’t work well, but we went in the Woods to escape and enjoy nature, so it wasn’t a big deal. We’d definitely book this cabin again.
