Your safety is our primary concern. Our property is totally gated and is in one of the nicest residential areas in New Orleans. We comply with all of the requirements and restrictions set by the Short Term Rental Administration of the City. Owner license number 20-RSTR-00355. Operator license number 23-0STR-01882. We have also been approved as a Healthy Home by the City of New Orleans. We have no contact check in and keyless entry. We also set aside a full day between guest to allow for deep cleaning.

The cottage is located behind our Vieux Carre style home. Upon your arrival you can relax and plan your New Orleans visit in your cozy cottage and private patio. Enjoy a welcome wine basket with local delicacies.

The Cottage is located in one of the nicest residential sections of New Orleans. It is a quiet neighborhood away from the crowds and noise. We are very convenient to our 1300 acre City Park and the New Orleans Museum of Arts, the Besthoff Sculpture Garden and the New New Orleans Municipal Bayou Oaks Course with two 18 hole golf courses. You are centrally located to the best of the City within walking distance to Lake Pontchartrain and an inexpensive Uber ride or public transportation to the French Quarter..

Coffee shops, wine bars, Seafood, Mexican, Asian and Creole restaurants are very close; or, relax and barbecue on your private deck.There are a total of 32 restaurants, two local supermarkets and four banks within a mile radius of our home.

But, don't rush - we have provided basic breakfast items (fruit juice, coffee, milk, cereal, yogurt, bread and butter) for your first morning leisure enjoyment.

The inside of the Guest Cottage was recently remodeled with hardwood floors in living/dining, new stainless appliances including ice maker refrigerator and granite countertops in kitchen. Separate bedroom with queen size bed and large bath with built-in make up table.

Beautiful Guest Cottage
This is a lovely property within walking distance of City Park. It was so nice to return to the cottage after a full day exploring NOLA. Susan filled the cottage with extra special touches that made it feel like a home away from home.

Wonderful cottage!
Don’t hesitate to choose this wonderful cottage. The setting is perfect—a true oasis with ponds and thoughtful landscaping. The neighborhood is safe with off street parking and restaurants nearby. The cottage is perfect for a couple and the hosts provide extras you rarely see in rentals. This is a gem and we won’t hesitate to stay here in the future.

Wonderful property and Helpful Host
We enjoyed our stay here- it had everything we needed and more. A kitchen with added supplies for breakfast, water, drinks, no need to stop by grocery on the way in. If you want a taste of New Orleans these host share the vibe in the decor and local products to enjoy. A private patio made relaxing with a glass of wine easy and enjoyable. My husband and I went to NO to visit with my granddaughter and a very needed vacation. After walking around the French Quarters we wanted to rest. Going back to the Cottage was so peaceful. Quiet retreat to relax in
We came to NO for the Jazz Festival. Susan and Weldon’s home is a tranquil place to retreat to after full on days at Jazz Festival. Wonderful hosts who go above and beyond. Lots of extras thrown in! We were so spoiled. Best if you have a car as public transport is almost non-existent.

Beautiful garden cottage
We loved staying at this peaceful, homey cottage. It has all the comforts of home. The hosts were very helpful and gave us some great tips for local restaurants and attractions around New Orleans. They also left snacks and breakfast items for the times we didn’t want to get out. An added bonus was a bottle of champagne to enjoy for our anniversary trip. It’s one of the nicest Vrbo’s we have stayed in.

Great stay at New Orleans Guest Cottage
Located in the Lakeview community of New Orleans, the Cottage is a great central location for your exploration of New Orleans and all its amenities. We were greeted by Susan and Eldon on arrival making the check in very easy. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for our week stay. The kitchen was stocked with many extra New Orleans treats and surprises. Cottage is quiet, private, and comfortable. Susan and Eldon are wonderful hosts with suggestions and useful guides. The cottage is adorable and clean in a lovely neighborhood and the owners are so friendly and helpful. I have stayed in many VRBO’s and this by far was the nicest. You are greeted with a well-stocked refrigerator with breakfast items and goodies. The cottage has everything you need for your stay to make you feel at home.

Enchanted paradise
We were by far pleasantly surprised with our stay. The host and hostess were ever so accommodating, and their attention to detail was remarkable. It is a perfect location and a welcome to quietness from the ongoing in the city of New Orleans. We were close to the French Quarter, but also far enough away, we can enjoy the quietness of Lake Pontchartrain and the many offerings around that area. We could not have asked for a better accommodation. Truly remarkable.

My husband and I enjoyed staying here. The hosts were wonderful, and provided everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The extra breakfast treats and goodies were much appreciated. The cottage is beautiful and quiet. If you don’t have a car, I would suggest using an Uber. French Quarter is about 20 minutes away by Uber.

Spent our Anniversary weekend in New Orleans!
Our stay was phenomenal! The cottage is awesome, very clean, very private, in a great neighborhood with off street parking, and close to everything. All of the extras that Susan and Eldon provided were fantastic! The check in and check out process was very easy! The cottage isn’t missing anything to make your stay so relaxing! We will definitely be back!!! Make sure if you stay, sign the book and the guitar!

Wonderful cottage, great hosts

Amazing! Home Away From Home! Cozy Cottage close to everything!
The landlords were very courteous, helpful and awesome! The cottage is very cozy and is surrounded by a very tranquil garden and Goldfish Pond! We were so grateful to Mrs Susan and Mr Eldon, they went out of their way to ensure our stay was great! The location of the cottage is very close to every venue you can imagine but far enough to not be crowded or bogged down with traffic. Will definitely be returning and booking again soon!

Exceptional!
This is a perfect property, with every amenity that you could want. It is, in effect, your own bungalow in a nice, quiet neighbourhood, within easy reach of central New Orleans. However, it is the little touches that Susan and Eldon have added that make it so wonderful. For example, having the fridge stocked for breakfast saves so much time and effort if you arrive late in the day. There are many of these small additions that make it such a great place to stay. This is as good as it gets in terms of venue and hosting, and we would have given it six stars if we could!

First time NOLA visit
Susan and Eldon are the sweetest couple ever, super thoughtful and kind! Their hospitality was absolutely amazing, we had welcome goodies, like Champagne and wine, masks and beads! The Fridge was stocked with Juice, little Jams, butter, bread, there was cheese, crackers and grapes! They also provided coffee and tea! The property was extremely clean and cozy, it's a little Paradise away from home! We will most definitely return and book with Susan and Eldon again! Thank you both for making our stay such a wonderful and memorable experience!!

Unbelievable
I don’t think I have ever felt so welcome! Susan and Eldon even made us a welcome sign. The personal touches hit ya with the feels. The breakfast and snacks left were beyond expectations. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for a cozy comfortable weekend stay. Our friends live 8 mins away. Close proximity to UNO arena and lake ponchatrain. This is the place you want to tell everyone about but also tell no one. Looking forward to coming back.
