The Neighborhood:
This house is a gorgeously renovated historical home in the Algiers Point neighborhood of New Orleans. Algiers Point is the 2nd oldest neighborhood in New Orleans and is full of rich history, quaint local shops and restaurants to frequent, and Creole-style architecture. This neighborhood was bursting with new sounds as jazz got its start in New Orleans. Many early jazz musicians lived in this area, including Peter Bocage, who lived at this site in 1912. This space highlights Peter and is an ode to New Orleans at the time he lived here. Watch the riverboats go by from the reading nook. Get a sneak peek at what Mardi Gras has in store as floats travel in and out of the Mardi Gras studio across the street. We can’t wait to share the best of what New Orleans has to offer with you!
