The cottage itself is in a great rural location but nevertheless only 10 mins drive from a supermarket and Freshwater Bay if you need a takeaway or food. It's also just a quarter of a mile from a bus-stop to Newport in one direction and Yarmouth in the other (if you don't have a car) so therefore ideal...

"We were very lucky with the weather which helps but we love the area as there is always something to do. The cottage was spotless and has all amenities (apart from washing machine no space ) and there was a very nice cake awaiting us as well as tea ,coffee and milk . Parking was fine on quiet street and the garden is a delight. The owner kindly reminded us about the steep stairs but we managed as we did with downstairs bathroom. Overall highly recommended for a relaxing stay in New Forest."

"We can look back at a nice and comfortable stay at the Tack Room. Nicely situated in the New Forest: just cross the street and stroll around in a beautiful landscape (don’t forget to bring your wellies). A very clean, warm and quiet place. Complete kitchen, but with limited storage space for a family of seven. Comfortable beds, but a bit too short for my length.wifi is fast (Starlink) and reliable."

"What a find! A real home from home property, with everything you could wish for in a holiday let. Pictures on site are accurate, we asked for the twin beds to be fixed together to create a larger space, such luxury! Loved the feather duvet… The hosts were very welcoming and made suggestions for walks, trips and restaurants. A joy to stay in the fold yard and see the ponies in the paddocks. "The cottage is lovely. I was a little surprised/disappointed by the close proximity of other houses as the pictures make it look quite rural. A good sized cottage with a beautiful garden leading out onto a recreation ground which was ideal for the children and walking the dogs. The cottage was well equipped and spacious with modern amenities including a lovely coffee machine and range cooker. Unfortunately there were somethings that we felt could be improved on.
