Unforgettable Views...

This cozy brick 2BD 2BA lakefront home has one of the best views on the lake of the Uwharrie National Forest and feels like it belongs all to you. Located approximately 1 hour from Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston Salem and High Point. This slice of heaven is just perfect for a small family vacation, anniversary, friends' getaway or fishing retreat.

Master with a king bed. Great layout for a couple. A large screen enclosed porch with ceiling fans and comfortable furniture serves as a second living room overlooking the lake and Uwharrie National Forest. Maximum total guests allowed is 4 (day or night). No day guests without prior approval. NO PETS policy. *Rates shown for two guests. Additional 25.00 /Nt.

A dock and steps leading into the water are convenient for taking a cool dip. Bring your boat or jet ski and enjoy fishing and the serenity of the lake's 115 miles of shoreline. The dock has room for a boat or jet ski to tie up and access to deep water.

Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer (in the unfinished basement), utilities, wifi, gas grill for outdoor cooking, fire pit with Adirondack chairs, satellite Dish televisions; Netflix, DVDs, books and games. A large hot tub with a fabulous lake view is located beneath the screened porch area (great if raining). A covered gazebo (in the summer) to give you a place to get out of the sun but still enjoy the incredible views. A large yard for tossing the football or frisbee. A canoe and kayaks are available (with life jackets) to enjoy exploring the lake or fishing for dinner. And of course, a hammock for an afternoon nap. Parking for 2 cars and a nearby boat ramp at the Wildlife Marina on Blaine Rd within 2 miles or a small neighborhood ramp 3/4mi away.

Summertime - spend the day boating, swimming, fishing, or simply relaxing on the pier with the sound of the water washing any stresses away.
For those seeking more adventure... hike or bike the Uwharrie National Forest across the lake (accessed a few miles away by car). Pontoon boat rentals may be available from Ole North State Marina.

Within 30 minutes... North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro; Seagrove, NC - Pottery Capital of North Carolina and Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury. Golf at nearby courses or 40 minutes away at Pinehurst, visit the museum of Nascar’s legend, Richard Petty; or take a caution lap around the track at the Lowe's Motor Speedway. Take in a new release movie at the Drive In Theater 1/2 hour away in Albemarle or a zip line ride in Asheboro. Just book it! The views are AMAZING and the space is perfect. We were there to hit Uwharries OHV trails and they are only about 10 minutes away. We will definitely stay again.

Relaxing Lake Getaway

This place never disappoints. We always arrive at night but in the morning when the sun rises over that private lake view it takes your breath away. It’s such an oasis with everything you need for a relaxing trip, and I know we will be back again.

Nice stay on the lake
We rented the house as it was close to the Jeep Jamboree. Everything was as promised. Nice 2-bedroom and 2-bath house with a wonderful screened in porch and comfy chairs on the dock. It was well furnished and very clean. Everything we needed was provided. Would definitely stay again next year if we attend.

A Gem on Lake Badin
Beautiful views, cozy cottage, lovely hosts!! An enchanting quiet stay on the lake. The lake feels like a room in the perfectly appointed house - it's visible from all the common areas! Many hours on the back porch taking it all in. Kay and Russ are friendly and thoughtful hosts.

The view is absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our time and made amazing memories. The house was just as shown in the photos and we could not have been more pleased. Badin Lake Paradise
Our stay was nothing short of magical. The home is beautiful and comfortable. We felt welcomed and at home immediately. The view of Badin Lake and the Uwharries was breathtaking from every angle, whether you were in the home, in the beautiful screened in room, or down at the docks. We will be return which I think is the highest rating one can give! The owners take pride in this property and it shows.

Great lake get-away
The house was decorated in a way that made you feel relaxed & at home. I loved the wooded lot on either side of the house & all the beautiful landscape. We spent many afternoons on the screened porch watching the birds & squirrels. We ventured over to the the island in the canoe/kayak to fish and explore. The dock was a great spot to fish & relax. Had everything we needed. Loved our stay! Thank you for the memories.

More than we could imagine
We were looking for a private and relaxing fishing trip, everything was great, neighbors greeted us from the lake, the house was very welcoming also, had No problems, and fishing was awesome, my son made a statement "This is the best fishing experience I've ever had, .Renting this HOME was a plus in my book of rental lake properties.

Great getaway!
We did not want to leave this house! It is beautifully decorated and the view of the lake is so wonderful that we sat on the porch from morning till the stars came out at night. Kay has provided everything you will need or want and there is a pier with a great seating area that you can sit on and enjoy the view. Three nights were not enough so anxious to return as soon as there are free days on her calendar!

A Little Piece of Heaven
We had 2 days of sunny, warm weather and 2 colder, cloudy days, but we didn't care. We were livin' on the porch rain or shine, savoring the wonderful view. The birds & squirrels entertained us all day. We'll be back!

Stayed for 3 nights, and absolutely loved the property! I hardly never left the pier. Our family loves to fish, and we caught several the entire trip. If you happen to forget anything, I would bet a hundred dollar bill, the house has it. Loved the screened in deck overlooking lake with the breeze. I'm a straight shooter, and I can't find one negative thing to say. Just wished the place was mine!

Fishermen's Dream
My husband and his fishing buddy had a great time staying here. The house has everything they needed and more. It's close to the marina so they could easily put in his boat and drive it to the house. The fishing from the dock was great (they raved about a few memorable mornings) and they also had a lot of success fishing the shoreline from the boat when they went out. I think they spent more time outside than inside but they had nothing but positive things to say about the property. They thoroughly enjoyed their trip!

This is the view you were looking for!
Many properties on the lake are jammed together. If you look at the satellite view you will see this property is private. Also it is at a location on the lake with views of natural, undeveloped islands. So serene and peaceful that you do not want to leave! The back screened in porch is large and luxurious. We spent as much time as possible out there. Fans and a propane heater make it great no matter what the temp. The master is spacious. The second room has space for a queen against the wall and not much else. Comfortable bed and bedding with both rooms though. The house is beautifully decorated, yet cozy and practical. We are already thinking of a repeat visit.

Wonderful lake stay off the beaten path
My family recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at this property. The home was charming, the kitchen supplies were plentiful, the hot tub was prepped for us and provided an amazing view of the lake, which absolutely made the trip. The private dock is as described - very private, in excellent shape, and is a perfect launching spot for the 2 kayaks and 1 canoe on property. Strangely, there was a pontoon parked at our slip during the stay that looked like it had not been used in quite some time. Dollar stores rule the day as there are 2 of them within 10 minutes of the house, with 2 more opening this summer/fall. Additional retail adn commercial options are fairly close at 15-20 minutes away, including a tasty Chinese restaurant, the expansive NC Zoo, and the pottery capital of the U.S. In addition to the 2 beds, there is a VERY large sectional available as a 3rd sleeping option. This is actually where I slept and it was quite nice with the view of the lake. What the home lacks in a large private bathroom (the main master en suite does not have a separate door from the bedroom door, is made up in wireless fan/light technology! We even got to witness a heron finishing off a kill in our backyard. You won't be dissappointed.

Albemarle Wedding Destination
Traveled from NW PA for a wedding in Albemarle. Location was about 30-40 mins from the wedding venue, Il Bella Gardens. Property was excellent for the 3 of us. Able to enjoy the canoe & kayaks as well as swimming off the dock. My wife loved the screened patio overlooking the lake. Very peaceful & tranquil location. Cottage was very well appointed & the furniture & beds were very comfortable. Really enjoyed the stay & much more comfortable than staying at a near by hotel. Highly recommend.

Great Fishing
My husband and his fishing buddy have stayed here multiple times and always have a great time. The house is clean and has everything they could need. The location is convenient and they're able to dock their fishing boat at the house. This year my husband caught his biggest catfish ever from the dock. They will definitely stay here again in the future!
