"The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, and has a beautiful, warm interior. We received a lovely warm welcome from reception. Our room was immaculate and has everything we needed, including a lovely balcony looking out into the well maintained gardens. The spa is small but very nice and has stunning views from the hydro pool. The spa does need a little TLC in terms of the rusty vents above the pool, and the steam room wasn't working. Overall a really nice spa, and free for guests to use, which isn't always the case at some hotels. Our only gripe was the quality of some of the food we were served for our evening meal, and the time it took. We were also charged £10 to park our car in the hotel grounds."

The location was ideal for visiting Bowness and ideal for catching the buses to visit other sites… The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again "

"A real break away from it all. Beautiful surroundings with next door links to nearby places of interest via boat or train if desired. Quiet, relaxed, lovely food, with excellent service from start to finish. We will definitely be back. What a gem. Thank you to all the staff at the lakeside hotel and spa. "
