Farmhouse apartment on beautiful grounds. 2 mi. to Candlewood Lake

Renovated 2nd floor apartment on 4 acres of gardens and patios. Quaint New England town located a few miles from Candlewood Lake and Squantz Pond State Park. Easy getaway from NYC and surrounding New England area. Abundant hiking trails nearby. Summer offers close proximity to many lake activities and full use of grounds and pool. When the weather turns colder, Thunder Ridge Ski Area is just a few miles away and offers skiing and snowboarding for beginners and is a great family ski area.

Better than a hotel for visiting family and friends nearby, or attending graduations, weddings, and family reunions in the area.

Living Room has electric fireplace and games for those cool nights. Bedrooms are cozy and have luxury linens. The back bonus room has trundle bed and an additional exit to the backyard, along with washer/dryer and bathroom.

Gas grills available for guest use. Basketball court and plenty of yard for kids to play. Spring through fall, enjoy your meals outside on your choice of several patios, firepits, and gardens. Help yourself to the herb garden when in season!

Owners live downstairs and are available. Absolutely no smoking or drug use of any kind permitted. We love animals, but no pets allowed (even though we know they are family.)

Lovely Stay
My wife and I had a relaxing stay with our 3 month old daughter. The pool and backyard were delightful and the house was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing place and gracious hosts
We loved this wonderful home. Hosts were very easy to work with and so kind. Place was immaculate and the towels and bedding were high quality. Kitchen was well equipped and great size. Backyard is beautiful and they even started the firepit for us and supplied wood. We can’t wait to come back in the spring time when the weather is warmer. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful grounds is an understatement
Drove into town with my adult children for a wedding party at a local venue. Came upon this listing and booked. The hosts were wonderful, the apartment comfortable, immaculate and well appointed, and the grounds breathtaking. I’m sorry we didn’t stay longer. We will be back tough, even to just unwind!!

Lovely farmhouse and hosts
So happy to find the lovely farmhouse to gather over the Christmas holiday. The apartment was clean, comfortable and cozy. The six of us spent most of our time cooking and eating together and working on a puzzle. The living room was a great place to relax with the large comfortable couch and electric fireplace. Booking was easy as well as communicating with the kind and thoughtful hosts! We appreciated the welcome treats! We would love to return in the summer to enjoy the gorgeous property!

Everything was Perfect!
My family of 5 flew into town to visit my brother’s family over 4th of July weekend and this place fit us perfectly. The sleeping and second floor apartment were very clean and nice and fit a family of 5 perfectly, but what really sets this place apart is the outdoor amenities. We got a lot of use out of the pool and used the patio and grill for evening barbecues and there was plenty of other open areas for whiffle ball games and other fun activities for families. Kim and Kevin are phenomenal hosts and we hope to be back!

A wonderful stay in New Fairfield
Kim and Kevin were wonderful hosts. We were in town for a lacrosse tournament and the house had everything we could possibly need. The property was freshly updated with a large well equipped kitchen, fresh carpeting, new paint and plenty of comfortable beds. The highlight of the property are the grounds. It is beautiful with blossoming flowers, a large patio, swimming pool, fire pits, an outdoor kitchen and lots of places to sit. They even allowed us to host the other lacrosse families for an afternoon of swimming after our game. If you have reason to be in the area you will be missing out if you don’t stay at this property.

Amazing Graduation Gathering
We booked the property to relax and also host a graduation gathering for our daughter. Kim and Kevin were amazing from start to finish. The guest apartment was well appointed and comfy for our family of 5. They have a lot of nice touches that immediately welcome you into the space. Kevin was out early the next day helping us set up the items needed for the gathering. The outdoor space is amazing. A little touch of paradise. It easily accommodated our guests. Kim and Kevin are amazing hosts and were responsive throughout our stay. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We will return.

Beautiful apartment in a lovely area
We enjoyed our stay at Kim and Kevin's house very much. The apartment is beautiful and they have seen to a lot of details including a welcome snack and bottle of wine. One of the best appointed properties we have stayed in so far. It reminded me of the farm house in which I grew up! The entry stairs to the second floor are steep which were only a slight problem for my MIL. Everything was super comfortable. The front bathroom is small but surprisingly workable. And there is plenty of storage throughout the apartment. I especially loved the big, deep closets. Owners were attentive and very helpful.

Affordable luxury
This was our 2nd time staying in Kim and Kevin's beautiful home. The apartment has many luxuries that makes it one of our favorite rentals in the area. We have a daughter nearby so have stayed in quite a few other properties, but the amenities of this one stand out. Don't miss seeing their beautiful backyard and swimming in the sparkling pool. Very convenient to many places. Quiet neighborhood. The entrance stairs are steep but the apartment itself is almost all on one level (only a small step down to the 3rd bedroom). It has the charm of an old house, but expect some quirks and you will enjoy your stay very much. Owners are super responsive and caring.

When we got to the property, the host noticed we were having trouble accessing the internet to get our entry code. He came right out and helped us. Not only that, but he even helped us grab our bags. We are very thankful for all his help.

Family Reunion and Home Visit
This venue was perfect for our family reunion! Indoors, the rooms and beds were comfortable and had everything to make our stay perfect. From the welcome sign in the foyer to the delicious coffee cake from a local bakery, Kim and Kevin thought of everything. Outdoors was perfect, too, with several seating areas to choose from at night and a basketball court added to our fun. We will definitely be back!

Fall Getaway in CT
We had a lovely stay with Kevin and Kim. The private apartment was spacious, exceptionally clean, and very tastefully decorated. You could tell that they are very thoughtful towards their guests from the high quality linens and toiletries provided, to the delicious surprise pastry they left out for us. It was everything we needed and more. I almost wish we had booked for a longer stay. I would absolutely book with them again if we are in the area.

A warm and cozy welcome and stay at Kim and Kevin's 2nd floor abode.
Kim welcomed us with a special message at the entrance to the apartment. Kim was very timely with communicating the code to enter at the front door. We came in quite late our first night and was pleasantly surprised when we woke up to find a sweet treat for each of us on the spacious kitchen's table. There were other surprises but I don't want to tell all Kim's warm welcome ideas. The beds were very comfortable for my mother of 86, my husband and I who usually prefer our own bed, two boys who could sleep anywhere but loved the upgrade the trundle bed twin mattresses had to offer. We were staying at Kim and Kevin's to have Thanksgiving with relatives in Ridgefield so we didn't have a chance to look around the area. However, I hope to come back in the summertime to take advantage of the gardens and amenities they have in their backyard.

Friends Reunion
It’s hard to list all the positives of this property as there are so many. From the moment we entered the front door and saw the personalized welcome we felt pampered and cared for. Anything we could ask for or needed was provided by the wonderful hosts Kevin and Kim. They were thoughtful, considerate and so kind. They checked on us every day but were never intrusive. The apartment is clean, spacious and stocked with luxurious towels and linens. The kitchen is stocked with all necessities. You only have to look at the pictures to see the spacious and beautifully landscaped property. The pool is only one of the highlights with many inviting areas for outdoor cooking and dining including that morning cup of coffee. We simply cannot recommend this property high enough. It deserves way more than 5 stars. We’re already planning a return trip.

Great apartment!!
This place is lovely!! We were in town to see family and were so comfortable here! Kim was very easy to deal with and made us feel right at home with fresh flowers and a little welcome sign for us. The property is beautiful, we were sad that we didn’t get to spend any time outside!

Wonderful Stay
Sparkling clean newly renovated second floor retreat with three bedrooms,two baths and fully equipped kitchen in traditional New England Farmhouse home. Expansive back yard area with several patios,tables, grill, fire pit area and pool. Hosts very responsive.
