The cabin sits just a few miles from the town of New Castle, set in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. With around 3000+/- feet of Creek Frontage on Craig Creek, the cool waters allow for perfect recreation and relaxation. A large deck overlooks the creek and has a nearby large firepit for fun at night. High Speed internet with 50mb speeds for those that still need to be connected. Verizon and US Cellular service at the house.

Great weekend getaway!
My wife and I booked this Vrbo for a long weekend getaway. It's close to some really fun hikes, and the cabin itself is great! We used the grill to cook one night and that worked great as well.

Wonderful Property and Owners
This is a special place. Nice cabin on a beautiful property with a river running through. Pet friendly. And the owners are so nice. Very responsive. We needed to check out a little later and they were gracious in accommodating that. Would stay again for sure. And so close to the triple crown trail heads. Great weekend.

A nice vacation retreat
Lovely cabin with well kept grounds. Nicely laid out for entertaining and relaxing. Close to town. We enjoyed going in to get pastries from the Lemon and Vale Cakery.

The property is so beautiful. It was stocked with games for the kids, a fire pit with wood to roast marshmallows and a dock to (attempt to) catch fish. My family loved it.

Nice, quiet log cabin by a creek
We enjoyed our stay very much. Clean log cabin with plenty of space for two couples. We enjoyed the outside deck by the creek and the fireplace inside. The owner was quick to reply when we had questions. A nice get away close to several wonderful hikes.

Very cozy and clean cabin for a weekend getaway in the mountains. Quite and private cabin that is well maintained and equipped with all the essentials. Loved the fresh cut flowers in the kitchen.

Log cabin getaway
Idyllic getaway in a log cabin in a great location for local hiking. Owner was easy to communicate with and the property is lovely and very quiet. Biscuits at the Lasterday Market down the road are a nice Southern treat.

We loved the cabin next to Craig Creek! It was clean and had everything you needed. Sonny ensured we had plenty of firewood and quickly addressed even minor issues.

Wedding Getaway
Peaceful stay right on the creek. Our family and wedding party had a great time. They even let us use their canoe and kayaks. We were able to enjoy time away from the city and celebrate our wedding. Thanks for everything we'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a getaway.

Beautiful Property!
Stayed for graduation weekend at VT. So wish we’d discovered this property 4 years ago!! The log cabin is set on a serene piece of property with many activities (horseshoes, corn hole, fire pit, kayaks and more!) to entertain the whole family. The picturesque creek and rustic out buildings were the perfect background for our son’s graduation photos. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and located just outside of Newcastle, making grocery runs or a trip to the local coffee house/bakery convenient. The hosts were excellent with their communication and hospitality.

Great cabin in a wonderful spot
Our family loved staying at this cabin. We spent tons of time down by the creek and thoroughly enjoyed the spacious outdoor areas. Communication with the property host was very quick and friendly. The cabin has tons of charm, and is very well stocked with kitchen stuff, etc. The wifi is very strong and works well, too, for those needing it. Overall: highly recommended, and we would absolutely stay at the cabin again!

Just like home!
While we picked a tumultuous week to have a vacation, the property provided everything we needed to relax and unwind! The pictures do not do it justice, the home is perfect, and we absolutely loved the grill and fire-pit - we used both almost every night. The home is also a short drive to some awesome hiking trails, and not too far from the city, so we were able to enjoy a few nights out!

Wonderful! So much to enjoy.... sitting around a fire, visiting on the deck creekside, playing frisbee and spike ball in the yard, fly fishing, and swimming. A place where many sweet memories were made! We were truly grateful!
