We have hired a NEW cleaning company on 9/1 to address some poor reviews as level of service prior was poor and they do a great job. Well located beach house with newly renovated kitchen and flooring in Beautiful Michiana, New Buffalo Township, MI. Just 0.7 miles to great private beach (2 free beach parking passes included) in a beautiful wooded community with playground and tennis/basketball courts. 5 minute drive to public beach and downtown New Buffalo with great restaurants, bars and shopping. 10 minutes to casinos, and perfect location to begin the wine/brewery trail or enjoy fruit picking/hiking. Lots of golf courses and breweries nearby as well. Pumpkin patches are also a short ride away. Enjoy our 4 bedroom/2 bath home that has 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, 1 queen and 2 full beds with ample living space including an loft area. Screened porch and outdoor wooded space with 2 decks, perfect for watching deer and birds. Hot tub and 2 grills (Weber 3 burner gas and one charcoal) are available for you to use as well!

Horrible experience - Do not recommend
If you’re looking for a relaxing get away in a clean home, this is not the place. When we arrived the cleaners were still at the property. To our surprise, once we entered the home it looked like nothing had been cleaned or maintained in months. There was dirt in every corner, mold on the outdoor couch, stains on the bedsheets/pillows, broken bed frames/furniture, and the list goes on. Our socks were black after walking around on the floors for 10 mins. The house had 1 towel for each guest (9) for the entire week long stay. There was no toilet paper or paper towel. When we called the owners regarding our concerns they sent the cleaner back to redo the floors while we all sat there uncomfortably. She mopped with a dirty mop and left toxic cleaning supplies out in reach of my 1.5 year old granddaughter. The owners made no attempt to deliver the supplies that were supposed to be provided that night, so my son in law had to go to the store at 9pm to buy additional supplies. The owners never followed up or called back that evening and their version of “making it right” was refunding us $100. When we called again in the morning after scrambling to find a new, clean, safe place to stay one owner ignored my daughter’s call and the other answered but never followed up as promised. They refunded the cleaning fee and felt that was all they owed us despite us saying it was so unclean that we needed to find somewhere else to stay. The owners’ lack of responsibility and care is appalling.

Overall the house was great. Plenty of room for our family, grilling deck separate with access to the house for ease of seasoning, prep and cleaning. Three season room with screened in porch was perfect for those summer nights and early morning coffees! Fire pit and chairs very comfortable and set up nicely. Hot tub available with lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun. Didnt use this time, as we had plenty else to do. Kids loved the playroom and loft area. Extra tv eas an added bonus for early risers not to wake the house. Appreciated the layout of the kitchen with counterspace and large table for everyone to enjoy eating together. Cons: cleaning was not done or qt least not thorough. Sand and dirt on the wood floors throughout, bathrooms not cleaned and grateful we brought our own clorox wipes. Definitely recommend a new cleaning service. **did notify owners and prompt response, apology and refund of the cleaning fee. Bed frame was broken and toliet had a small leak, but owners were very open with communication, responsive to concerns and said they would handle it. You can't fix what you dont know, of course. Plenty of parking in the front yard for cars. *would recommend bringing extra towels, TP and papertowels. You have some provided, but would do laundry daily if everyone showered.

The property was not ready when we arrived. Painting and other plumbing issues were being worked on. The worker was kind, apologetic & vacated quickly. The property size & location is as described however we hoped for cleaner, crisper, more attn to details. As we are familiar with Grand Beach we adored the area and took full advantage of the beach access and parking pass.

Good spot for a group!
We really enjoyed all the group seating areas (we had a group of 6) available as we did a lot of just relaxing and talking. The hot tub was great and the close proximity to the beach along with parking passes was awesome. The home was equipped with the things we needed and plenty of room for all! We had a great time!

Our late check in was easy. Cleaning crew could be a little better. We did not cook here. The kitchen would need some improvement for me to make anything, the oven and a drawer do not fully open because of the design. For coffee drinkers-there is a drip coffee maker and keurig The beds were comfortable and the location was pretty and great for walks. My family came here for a funeral in November. I grew up here and it was nice being here again. A coat rack or hooks at the door would have been nice for our snowy jackets/coats. Good stay overall!
