We enjoyed staying at this house very much the property was beautiful! The low water pressure was an issue for showers and flushing the toilets. I wish the dining room table was bigger, for the amount of people that this house can accommodate the table was very small.

Quiet place for Spring Break
Nice, quiet retreat in the Hill Country for a long weekend trip. Cabin is plenty big for a small family with pets. Decor and facilities a bit outdated, but functional. Biggest negatives were that we found it dirty upon arrival, including the bed sheets and carpet. I don't actually think it was thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival due to a power outage the day of, but the mgmt. did not offer to have the crew come out and clean after we checked in. Numerous light bulbs that were out both inside and outside as well. Also, while there is plenty of nice open space outside to walk around, the immediate grounds/yard surrounding the cabin needed the grass cut and just general clean up of trash from (probably) the previous guest(s). Overall nice, but can be a lot better!!
Charming Cabin Retreat with Scenic ViewsWe recently stayed at this beautiful cabin-style property and had a wonderful experience. The ample parking easily accommodated our family of six, each arriving in separate vehicles. Mornings were a delight, with deer sightings and stunning sunrises enjoyed from the back porch. Amenities like the dartboard and fireplace added to our enjoyment, though a fire ban during our stay prevented us from using the outdoor fire pit—a safety measure we fully support. While our stay was highly enjoyable, a few minor improvements could elevate this property from a solid 4-star to a 5-star experience:1.Fireplace Damper Lever: The lever to operate the fireplace damper appeared broken or missing. Despite my familiarity with various fireplace styles, I found this one challenging to operate.2.Ash Disposal: Providing a fireproof bucket for ash disposal, along with clear fireplace instructions, would be helpful. Uncertain of proper disposal methods, we left the ashes in the fireplace.3.Accurate Listing Photos: Updating the online photos to reflect the current state of the property would be beneficial. We noticed a discrepancy regarding a hanging pot rack over the stove; the photos showed it present, but it was absent during our stay. This led us to pack certain kitchen items based on the expectation of its availability. Accurate photos help guests prepare appropriately for their stay. These suggestions are minor and did not detract from our stay
We had a group of 11, family. The house is very comfortable and roomy. Loved the large deck. We hung around the house and property, played games, sat on deck and enjoyed the view. Drove into Gruene, visited Gruene Hall, antique shop, and general store. Also, we did Natural Bridge Caverns, and the animal safari. Overall a nice getaway.
