This property is not at all what the pictures are. This place is unsafe ! I have told Expedia this does not need to be listed , we saw it and left immediately. Not clean , not safe and not secure from the road or the person living there. EXPEDIA , take this property off!

Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!!
The house was very dirty- there were dead bugs upstairs on the beds such as spiders, flies and other bugs. The main floor bedroom bed was also full of dirt on the mattress cover after taking off the sheets. It looks as though it’s never been washed. The floors were dirty and the bathroom was disgusting, not even a plastic insert shower curtain. I didn’t realize there wasn’t a living room to sit and relax, only the kitchen. The kitchen also looked as it hadn’t been cleaned and things were falling apart such as drawers without handles and cabinet doors that won’t shut. The train noise is horrible 4-5 trains with whistles blowing through out the night let alone during the day. The only good thing I can say was the air conditioning and fans were perfect!

Disappointed
We had high hopes for this house, but we were disappointed the minute we saw it. This “house” is connected to a chiropractic clinic. We thought we might be at the wrong location but no, we parked in the chiropractic parking and brought our back into the “house”. There were so many doors that could be opened from the chiropractors office or from the exterior of the house but couldn’t be open from the inside of the house where we were staying. It was not clean, toilets looked nasty and floors were dusty and sticky. They only provided 2 rolls of toilet paper for a group of 8 for 3 days. It was located right off of a highway, next to a railroad where a train traveled at night and it was SO loud, and there was an unfinished construction site behind the property that looked scary. Overall this was just not at all what we were expecting and we felt scared to stay at this property because of the location and the lack of heavy duty locks on the doors.

Worst property Ever!
Very small, dirty, very dangerous outside! All kinds of electrical cords running through the backyard to a property across the wall (plugged into outlets outside looks like they are doing renovation at the property behind). Rocky outside, lots of tripping hazards out there! Beds uncomfortable, bathroom/tub very small. Very noisy as it's on a main road. Also Very Dark if you're arriving at night and hard ti find if you're not familiar with the area. I would not recommend this property to anyone.....lots of potential but not really kept up! Don't take children here too dangerous!

Would not stay here again. Pictures are very deceiving.
It was extremely difficult to sleep at night due to the significant amount of traffic. There is also a train that passes every hour on the hour even between 2-5am. It is impossible to sleep. We had to leave a day earlier (even though we paid for 4 nights) we could not stay any longer. There were soooo many flying ants in the master bedroom it was awful. The property is also under construction. The backyard looks like a construction sight. There is no grass or plants just rocks to walk on. The construction works also built a huge fire to burn brush. The smell of smoke was sooo strong it filled the house immediately for one entire day and night. Also, the pictures are very deceiving. The property needs to be remodeled. There is no living area and no main room to watch tv or relax. If you want to watch tv there is a small tv in the master bedroom. However, the master bedroom was filled with flying ants. We left a day early because it was awful. We still have not received a refund. I would highly recommend you NOT stay here.

Weekend away
Felt very much like glamping. My daughter loved the loft! The back yard made for enjoyable nights with string lights and fires in the pit! Close to groceries and the drive in theaters! Manager was nice and asked for feedback. Overall we enjoyed our trip.

Shabby chic does not mean shabby.
The property owner warns potential guests about stairs and the busy location. However, the stairs are more like a steep ladder going up into an attic where there are three beds. It is nice up there, if you don't mind bumping your head or falling down a floor through the access door. That leaves you with one double bed in the main bedroom downstairs and a futon in the entry hall. The house is cute in the photos but the cooktop and oven were so dirty I didn't use them, the refrigerator door seals were loose, and the entire house needed a good scrubbing. Even the bathtub ledges were dusty. Also, the house is located two car lengths from a VERY busy highway, much worse than a busy street. It faces a cut-through junction where commuters access I35. At about 6:30 every morning, cement trucks also start barreling down the road to and from a cement plant around the corner, blowing dust everywhere. Parallel to the road, about an 8th of a mile in the distance, trains start going by at about 4 in the morning (with horns blasting). I'm sure this house and the patio areas around it were cute at one time, but most everything is deteriorated and falling apart. I don't blame the old house for having only one electrical outlet in every room, but surely more could have been added in the renovations. I have stayed in property rentals for many years, and this is the first time I have written a negative review.

Not recommend for summer
The place had a cool back yard with outside shower and a nice kitchen. The bedroom downstairs was nice with a window window and in the attic bedroom was horrible and hot. You had to climb a narrow ladder to get upstairs and the split unit ac was no good and my party had to leave to a hotel at 1:30 am due to how hot it was. Then you had a futon in the hallway what was hard and small with only a box fan so I was Miserable the whole night because I stayed behind so they didn’t have to pack.

Great house for the weekend!
The house was perfect for our weekend with friends. We only spent time there in the evenings. The location was perfect for us… 15 minutes from the river and 15 for Whitewater Amphitheater. If you want more space or have issues being in close quarters this isn’t the house for you. Upstairs got a little warm at night but it’s summer in New Braunsfel… there were tons of fans and AC’s throughout the house. I was worried after reading some of the other reviews about the train and the business next door. We only heard the train when we were outside and it wasn’t constant like others had made it seem. We had no issues with the chiropractor office because we weren’t there during business hours. Vanessa was super helpful by showing us around and how the AC’s worked. She was very sweet and allowed us to check in early so we could get on the river. All of our group was happy with our stay!

Enjoyed, but .....
The owner was very informative when we arrived. The pictures online are very cute, but I did not realize there was no living room. The living room area is blocked off as the office. The master bedroom was very cute and comfy. The entryway has a bed located by the loft stairs. This bed was not comfortable at all. However, all the beds up stairs were comfortable. The outdoor space, was nice and just as expected. The ice maker does not work so make sure to bring ice. Over all the experience was good.

House is older than looks in pictures. Railroad track across street , very busy street, if you are a light sleeper not conducive .Very warm inside even with fans, portable ac units window units including industrial fan. Served it’s purpose and was close to the venue you were thereto see a concert. Vanessa is very nice 😊 would probably go back for a weekend

Great space if you’re a close family!
This house is a small but cute place to spend a weekend if you’re very close with your friends/family. If you’re not close, this might not be the right fit. This home does not have a living room, you will spend time in the kitchen where the one inside bathroom is attached to. A tv in the kitchen would have been a nice bonus but there’s 1 in the master bed & 1 in the loft. The Owner was kind and helpful during check in and responded to check out questions within minutes.

Perfect for a Small Crew
My boyfriend and his friend came with us with the plan to float the river in New Braunfels. Unfortunately, it rained all day Saturday. But we still had a great time cooking food in the kitchen and playing guitar on the front porch. There is traffic/train noise occasionally, but it honestly put us all to sleep a little faster. The outdoor bathroom was a treat for us too with some blown away by the design and concept.

We loved the property and that it was away from other houses. Our stay was over the weekend, so the chiropractor office was not an issue. There is a good bit of road noise which I actually like at night, which I actually like. Lol. It was a very cool old home.

Dirty!!
The property was not clean. Linens were not fresh. One room was to sleep 6 people and had 3 full size mattresses which were also nasty and dusty. To access the room for six, we had to climb very steep stairs which are dangerous for anyone/everyone. I had to clean the toilet on arrival because it was dirty. When confronting owner, she said everything was clean. We clearly have different definitions of clean.

Overpriced and misleading
3rd party fees tacked on (read carefully before booking). Property is at a highway intersection across from a concrete plant so lots of truck noise + on top of very active railroad tracks. House has no living area - just a kitchen with a bathroom basically IN the kitchen with a door that doesn’t shut and a bedroom with a bed that slopes to the East. No grass front or back for the “welcome” pets to use. Glass French doors in the kitchen attach to a chiropractor’s office so you can hear that activity all day (and I assume they can hear the guests too, so zero privacy). The description of property and price advertised were both very misleading. Couldn’t wait to get home from our vacation.

What a gorgeous cabin and beautiful place to stay. We had such an incredible time. Vanessa was charming and wonderful and made the checkin process seamless. All the comforts you’ll need are here, and we especially enjoyed the backyard space with fire pit, grill, and perfect seating under the shade. The beds were dreamy, and the kitchen was perfectly stocked. We will be back 100 more times :) This house should have all 5 star reviews. Period! Can’t wait to get back!

We spent a lot of money staying here and we were extremely disappointed. The listing was very misleading. The only cool temperature room was the master bedroom so our son slept with us in there. The cleanliness was not great either. Listen to all the bad reviews, we decided to take the chance and we shouldn’t have.

Very misleading
Nothing relaxing about this location. No living room, yet claim to sleep 8. Nice kitchen. Patio was under construction and unusable. Future listings for this property should disclose the nearby gravel crushing operation and all day truck traffic at a very busy intersection in front. The train tracks are within sight of the house and the train goes bye all day and night, and the train whistle blows excessively every time. The heaters in the house are inadequate on cold nights. Very disappointing way to spend my first winter getaway. Tried to get credit for early departure and have gotten nothing but the runaround from VRBO
