Circa 1810 Home - Downtown New Bern Historic District - 2 BRs with King Beds

This unique historic home was originally a dependency to the grand Coor-Bishop House located a half block away, where President James Monroe stayed in 1819 while touring the South.

The home contains two large bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and new King beds with new mattresses. One King bed can be converted to two Twin XLs upon request. The house
is newly updated with fresh paint, new furniture, luxury linens and amenities and a new gas range in the well-appointed kitchen.

Walk to the riverfront, Tryon Palace and historic downtown and its many restaurants, bars, shops, and galleries. Relax on the screen porch. Cruise or kayak the Neuse and Trent Rivers. Take a short 45-minute drive to Beaufort, Oriental, and the beautiful Crystal Coast beaches.

Sorry, but no children under 8 years of age. Infants are welcome but we do not provide cribs or playards.

PLEASE NOTE: The home is situated on a raised basement with 12 steps from the street level to the front door. All bedrooms are on the second floor.

The home was in a great area - near the river and downtown New Bern. We loved the place. The decor is very nice; there were plenty of amenities in the bath and kitchen; and the owners, who live next door, are super.

Excellent New Bern stay
Hosts were very attentive and communicative, and the property was certainly as advertised. We were looking for a great “home base” to explore New Bern that also wasn’t right in the middle of downtown, and this property was great. Everywhere is very walkable and the waterfront is just steps from the house.

Fantastic weekend getaway
We enjoyed a long weekend celebrating with friends. The porch was great for an outside dinner and the kitchen fully stocked so I could make a cake. Easy walk to downtown for dinners, music, shopping, and the market. Wonderful getaway!

Everything about our stay at this lovely home was perfect. Dan and Chris provided everything needed to ensure a comfortable stay and they are a pleasure to deal with. The property is in walking distance to everything New Bern has to offer including the Riverwalk, gorgeous historic homes and lots of great restaurants. A Perfect Getaway
We had a wonderful experience. The house is in a quiet, historical neighborhood within walking distance to downtown New Bern and the waterfront. The house is tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. The beds are super comfortable, and the towels are plush. The hosts are terrific too. We would definitely come back and stay again.

We have been visiting my parents in New Bern for over 20 yrs. They moved last year to be closer to us and we have missed visiting. The house was in a great location, clean, and comfortable for us and two friends we have known since college. A great weekend to be tourists in New Bern!

Relaxing waterfront experience
Our stay was so nice and relaxing! Not only is the property just a few steps away from the waterfront the location provides a quiet relaxing experience that allows you to truly unplug and step away into historic New Bern. The owners were very helpful and communicative, the house is absolutely adorable and perfect for a stay where others can come visit you. Everything is just a short walk away and made it really easy to just check in and not have to drive all over.

Fantastic Weekend Getaway!
Beautiful and convenient location within the heart of downtown/historic New Bern. Once we arrived and parked our vehicle, everything we wanted to do for the weekend was within a pleasant walkable distance. A Great House in a Fabulous Location
House was immaculate with all the amenities. 5 minute walk to downtown. 1 minute walk to the Riverwalk. The house is situated in a charming neighborhood that is super quite. Stayed for three days and never used the car. Can't say enough, except when return we know where we will be staying.

A must stay in beautiful historic New Bern!
My husband and I fell in love with this property the moment we stepped inside. This charming home was tastefully decorated, roomy and immaculate. The host thought of everything that we could have possibly needed. It’s located within steps of the water and within walking distance to some awesome restaurants and shopping. I have to say it was hard to leave. We would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Fantastic home, great location
We absolutely loved this home. Extremely clean, well furnished, with lots of thoughtful touches. Thick towels, extra toiletries, and well stocked kitchen. Coffee, tea, sweeteners. Bottled water as well. The location is perfect, residential neighborhood, half a block to the water, a quick 5-10 minute walk into the town and restaurants. The owners were very responsive.
