"Nice and clean. Driveway had snow and ice on it. Shower was really small. You might add a shower head with a hose. There was no Handsoap at all in the cabin. Otherwise we had a great time!!"

"Had a great weekend at Captain's cabin. we immediately started a fire in the fireplace and enjoyed the quiet popping and warmth of the fire all weekend. Tammy's breakfasts are outstanding. Found some fun things to do in town when we finally pealed ourselves from the cabin."

"Husband and I had to be out of state on short notice and preferred to not stay in a hotel. Found this AMAZING getaway, close enough to where we needed to be, yet at the end of the day wonderful relaxing nights. Quiet, beautiful, best sleep I have had in years! Campfire at night and work up to deer and turkey visits in the morning. We will be back! "

"We enjoyed a quiet restful stay at the cabin, a very private setting. We were visited by turkeys, turtles, and deer. Just what we needed to unwind! We were able to access great places to hike and visit Louisville within 20 minutes driving, and just enjoyed driving around the winding roads. Gabriel is a great host, accommodating to our requests and just overall friendly! "

"This place is stunning. So simple, yet all we needed. They thought of all the details. Beds are comfortable. Coffee on the deck was perfect. Wading in the creek, washing in the outdoor shower, laying in the hammock. Kitchen was great for cooking, everything was high quality, not like the typical cheap stuff in a rental home. We had an excellent time, and I wish we didn't have to leave! I joked that I just want the full instructions and shopping list to build, furnish and decorate the exact same...

"Headed to Louisville KY for a meeting at the fairgrounds expo center and we made this our home away from home for a few days. It did not disappoint. Beds were super comfy and the area felt safe. Reserved parking spot right out front. Had the weather been warmer we would have had a fire in the fire pit out back! "

"This was our second stay in this home; I grew up in this area and we visit family throughout the year. This home is perfect for my husband, me and our adult sons and their families. It’s roomy, with great size bedrooms and hard-to-find three full baths. The layout of the home works well, and while we didn’t use the backyard on this visit, the fire pit and cornhole are nice. We also love the off street private parking. The host was easy to work with and responsive. We would stay again. "
