We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect location to be able to easily walk around, it was beautiful old school downtown. The room was clean, next time if we were to stay we would get the king size room, the queen room was a little small for two adults. Other than that everything was clean, the owners were responsive to letting us check in early. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.
Upon arrival first thing was an issue with the keypad to enter the room! The staff did get back to us through text but still was an inconvenience. Room was updated and nice, we had the king room above Broad st. If you like quite this room is not for you!! Very noisy at all times and a very bright room. The bathroom light was on a motion sensor for some reason and had to shut bathroom door or else it would go on at night. Parking could be a bit tricky too as there is no designated spaces for the hotel.
Unfortunately we kept having issues with the keypad at the main door also. Although it was a nice room, we will definitely not be staying again, it was just not for us.
Incredible location in the middle of historic Nevada City. Beautiful room and large bathroom. Easy walk to excellent restaurants. A steep stair climb upon entry' though.

Disliked: Amenities
The room was extremely small in comparison to the other rooms. There was no staff on site and everything was done remotely. It had only internet TV with no local channels for weather, since it was stormy that weekend. Internet TV required logging into an unknown site, which raises security questions for your email and password. So no TV. Need to be better people oriented especially through a booking service.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
We understood there would be no staff, but not that there would be no services for making the bed, changing towels, etc.
The facilities were secure. But there is no parking area. Parking on the street is metered between 9 am and 6 pm, 50¢ per hour in coins.
The area around the facility is delightful. We bought wedding bands across the street. And terrific pizza by the slice is two blocks away. We enjoyed our stay, and put up with the inconveniences.
It is a lovely room. One thing to keep in mind. Room 1and 2 both face the Main Street. This is both a blessing and a curse. It is wonderful to
Open the windows/doors and be apart of the outside. But….. even with windows/doors shut it can be loud. Below you is a cafe that opens at 6:30 am. A bar across the street. That had a wedding party whopping it up. Yelling up and down the street way after midnight. They did provide ear plugs. All in all it was a lovely time. Next time we may stay in a room more towards the back of the place.
