Glenbrook House with High Speed Internet

Glenbrook House is centrally located, 5 min to Nevada City or Grass Valley. It has epic sunset views, ample parking, a spacious interior with open floor plan, kitchen island and hardwood floors throughout. 50” Smart TV with Disney +, Hulu, ESPN, and Amazon Prime Video! Private office and high speed internet offers distance work/school and fold out couch. Private deck with seating for 8 overlooking the pond and a private gazebo. Gate to irrigation canal offers leisurely strolls to a waterfall.

This is a fantastic Vacation Rental. The moment you drive into the large circular driveway and see the towering Oaks, Cedars, and Horse sculpture, you will understand the magic of our forest. The surrounding gardens will enchant you, all year round. Central Heat and AC, with Nest thermostat keeps you at your ideal temperature. We have a two person soaking bath tub in the master bathroom lit by a dimmable chandelier with a view of the stars and garden.

The Glenbrook House is located on over an acre, which have lovingly been developed into a massive food forest. The Organic Veganic Gardens will delight those of all ages. This property is perfect for a couple who wants space to spread out, or for a family reunion. There are numerous areas to sit and soak in the gardens with friends or a good book.

Glenbrook House is centrally located, with easy access to shopping, dining, theaters, and 15 minutes to the Yuba River. It is a family neighborhood, located at the base of Banner Mountain.

Glenbrook House offers plenty of parking onsite. You know you’re there when you see the large wooden horse sculpture as you pull into the driveway. We may allow parties of 20 or so guests for Wedding Rehearsals and similar events with an addition fee. We ask that the outdoor noise be attenuated after 10 pm to respect our neighbors. Please let us know in advance if you would like to have more people than your nightly guests. The standard nightly fee is for 6 guests. Additional guests will be charged $25 per guest for the number of nights of your reservation.

Beautiful home with excellent hosts
I cannot even describe the charm and beauty of this home. We were greeted with a fresh bouquet of flowers and a personal message from our hosts. The home is huge with an outdoor patio. It has everything you want especially with kids,even books and games. The furnishing and rooms are clean and comfortable. We will be back!

Another great stay at Glenbrook House
This was our second time staying here. It's such a nice house. Lots of attention to detail like cut flowers in the kitchen, making up the sofa bed in advance of our arrival, being flexible on check-in time. We love how close the house is to both downtown Grass Valley and Nevada City. Would definitely recommend.

It’s a great house in a great location situated between Grass Valley and Nevada City. The nearby walks are lovely. Too bad the bathrooms were crawling with carpenter ants or it would have been a perfect vacation rental. Would stay there again if the ants were controlled.

This was a lovely house decorated with antiques and art. Perfect for our family of 6. Stores near by and 7 miles to the Scott’s Flat resoviore and 6 minutes to old town Nevada City. Owners were very accommodating and responded quick to our questions. Thank you for a relaxing stay.

Girlfriends Getaway
We enjoyed the house and we were comfortable but the windows really need to be cleaned and cobwebs removed. Also, back deck furniture was not cleaned and had a lot of cat or dog fur. We didn’t use the deck because of this. The listing says ‘hot tub’ but we only saw a jacuzzi in the primary bedroom en suite. It wouldn’t take much to make this a more lovely stay. Hosts were kind and responsive. We wish them well.

The Holiday
We travelled to Nevada County to spend the Christmas holiday with our son, daughter in law, her parents, my wife and daughter. The house had plenty of room, was well appointed with decor, plenty of firewood, bedding, linens, and kitchen needs. The feel of the house was that you were still at home...very comfortable, very clean, great location, and the support from Gary was awesome. We will likely come back next year!

We are a family of 7 adults and 3 children. We were in town for a wedding. The house was super comfortable with plenty of amenities. Two bathrooms did require family patience. The location was very convenient to various other places. The nearby walking trail offered a nice nature experience and a bit of exercise.

The house was in a beautiful setting and a great location. There was a nice walking path nearby. The kitchen and bedrooms were lovely. The only concern that we had was the sliding glass door lock was broken. We were unable to secure the house at night and when we went into town.

Family Christmas Weekend
Our family of 8 adults, two infants and two dogs stayed very comfortably here. The house has lots of character, linens were excellent and plentiful, and thoughtful little extras, like a magnifying mirror for example, were all through the house. Wonderful toys for the babies too. We were warm and cozy with plenty of space. Walking trail right next to house was lovely. Charlie was wonderful to deal with, I made a last minute change and he was so helpful and accommodating. We all agreed, we would definitely stay there again!

The property was well located to enjoy the community and get to and from the NC fairgrounds. It was spacious. The deck and outdoor seating were a nice space but not clean. We saw that pollen was actively falling from trees overhead, but the area did not seem to have been cleaned of the pollen nor of bird droppings before our arrival. The rest of the home was very clean and well stocked. We were not aware that the 4th bedroom was actually a hallway to the outside deck. The hide a bed was set up as a bed and was comfortable, but it was unexpected that there was not actually a 4th private bedroom. All else was great.

Comfortable Stay for Large Family
We stayed here for a wedding, and it was comfortable for 7 of us (three couples and a single), plus two small dogs. Pros: The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of extras, like spices, oil, coffee, etc. There are also thoughtful touches like extra dog dishes, leashes and toys. The large dining table is perfect for a group. Plenty of glassware, dishes, pots, pas, cooking utensils. The living room is large and comfortable. Good parking. Nice area. Cons: The bedroom linens (and bath towels) are worn out and could use refurbishing. The pull out bed in the den has an uncomfortable (and badly stained) mattress topper, and our daughter said the comforter smelled so bad she had to remove it in order to sleep. Also some of the blinds in that room do not completely cover the windows, so we had to hang an extra blanket up to cover them. The hall bathroom was not very clean upon arrival; there was used bar soap left over from a previous guest, the toilet was visibly dirty, and the baseboards were grimy. Also the shower does not drain fully. Cobwebs in all of the windows throughout. There is beautiful outdoor furniture, but it is covered in cat hair. Overall, it just felt like everything needs a thorough cleaning. Otherwise a decent place.
