The listed building dates from 1677 and was once used as a farrier. Before the bypass was built, it was an important traffic route. Pilgrims, travelers on horseback or in carriages passed it, and some stopped in the neighboring inn, changed horses or had the blacksmith shod them. The house, which was in danger of collapsing, was restored by the current owner and is used by him as a holiday home.

Eine wunderschön renovierte, alte Schmiede erwartet einen in der ländlichen Umgebung von Altdrossenfeld. Wertige Möbel und stilvolle Accessoires zusammen mit einer großzügigen Raumaufteilung passen zum Stil des denkmalgeschützten Hauses und vermittelt dem Gast eine behagliche Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Eine alte Schmiede, sehr schön restauriert
Es war bereits unser zweiter Aufenthalt in dem Haus und alles war bestens. Schöne Auenlandschaft mit Störchen und gut gelegen zwischen Kulmbach und Bayreuth, in 15 Minuten erreichbar. Das Haus ist wunderschön für etwas größere Menschen, wegen Treppe und Stufen (historische Schmiede) für Kleinkinder weniger geeignet. Fazit: sehr empfehlenswert. Detlef Friedrich

Gemütliche und sehr gepflegte Unterkunft
Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in der alte Schmiede. Das Haus wurde mit viel Geschmack renoviert, ist geräumig und bittet alles, was man so benötigt. Die Küche ist ordentlich ausgestattet. Die ganze Unterkunft ist top sauber. In der Nähe konnten wir schöne Spaziergänge und Wanderungen unternehmen. Zu empfehlen sind der Rot-Main-Auen-Rundgang, der in Altdrossenfeld durchkommt und der Rundgang Waldhütte-Teufelsloch (https://www.fraenkische-schweiz.com/detail/id=5f13fe07d5e6be051d0a84d3). Sie haben auch unseren 10-jährigen Sohn begeistert.

Wir waren begeistert von der Mischung aus Alt und Neu! Wir haben uns in der alten Schmiede sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Nähe zu Bayreuth war in Bezug auf Unternehmungen sowie Restaurants hervorragend. Kommen gerne wieder.

Helle und gemütliche Ferienwohnung
Die Fewo ist wirklich sehr sauber. Alles ist vorhanden, lediglich einen Hocker im Bad habe ich vermisst. Die Mischung aus modern und uralt ist gelungen. Man ahnt die alte Schmiede und hat gleichzeitig allen Komfort. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, besonders in den Auen am Roten Main. Ich habe mich lange nicht mehr so gut erholt!

Ein schönes Domizil
Das Haus, eine alte Schmiede, ist wunderschön restauriert. Es macht Freude in dem Haus zu wohnen, eine gelungene Balance zwischen alt und neu. Hervorzuheben, die Auenlandschaft am Roten Main mit vielen Störchen und keine Windräder am Horizont. Nur Bayern Klassik habe ich nicht gefunden.

Toll restauriertes historisches Gebäude
Wir haben uns bei goldenem Herbstwetter in der gemütlichen Alten Schmiede sehr wohl gefühlt. Viel Platz, behutsam und sehr stilvoll wieder aufgebaut, in Fußweite die Auen des Roten Mains und zwei sehr empfehlenswerte Gasthäuser (Schnupp und Bräuwerck). Bayreuth, Bamberg und die Fränkische Schweiz sind schnell zu erreichen. Was will man mehr?

In diesem Haus wurde mit hohen Ansprüchen an Architektur, Handwerk und Material ein wunderschönes Juwel geschaffen. Wir haben uns gefreut, es für eine Kurzurlaub im Herbst nutzen zu können und uns ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt. Wir waren zum ersten Mal in Franken. Natur, Kultur und gutes Essen ließen sich hier wunderbar vereinen. Daher kommen wir sicherlich gerne noch einmal zurück und, wenn es sich ergibt, auch sehr gerne wieder in die alte Schmiede.

Großartiges Haus
Erstaunlich mit welch großem Aufwand der Besitzer diese wunderbare alte denkmalgeschützte Schmiede saniert hat. Wir haben es sehr genossen dort wohnen zu dürfen. Es hat uns rundum sehr gut gefallen: Historisches Gemäuer mit hohem modernem Standard, gemütliches Ambiente mit Kamin und geschmackvoller Einrichtung, großzügige Räumlichkeiten, tolle Umgebung im schönen Neudrossenfeld mit vielen Gasthöfen und allem was man braucht, Nähe zu Bayreuth und Kulmbach. Auch bei schlechtem Wetter gibt es viele Möglichkeiten. Nette Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort. Herzlichen Dank!
