House Rules – Bealby Point Stay
Please acknowledge you have read and agree to the attached set of rules and guidelines, and you will ensure your party also abides by these rules.
Rental Policy
We want you to have a great time when you are here. But if things get too crazy, we go by the old-school rule of ‘you break it, you buy it’ and property damages or missing items will be charged to your credit card at market value.
Pre-existing damages or room issues must be reported to host immediately after registration to avoid responsibility and potential charges.
Towels are property of Bealby Point Stay and are to be left in the suites upon your departure. If towels go missing during your stay there will be a $25 fee charged to your credit card per towel.
Sing your heart out and have a passionate conversation all day long, but from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. the whole property goes into common courtesy mode mutual respect for other guests and our neighbours of course. Keep in mind music and loud talking reflects off the water when outside.
No Wild Parties
Please respect neighbours and use the home with as much respect as you do your own home. We want you to have a nice time, but we will not accept wild parties, if we can hear you in the main house or the adjoining suite can hear you we will ask you to keep it down. If you need to be asked a second time you will be asked to leave and forfeit your stay with no refund. Any damage will be billed back to the name on file. No overnight guests other than those registered at time of booking the property unless approved with host prior to your stay.
Septic System Consideration
We kindly ask our guests to be mindful of our septic system’s well-being. Please only flush toilet paper, and avoid putting any chemicals, sanitary products, or foreign objects down the drains including cooking oils and food. Please also limit the length of showers to avoid extra strain on the septic system.
Well Water
Our property uses well water, which may have a unique taste and smell compared to city water. We also have a high iron content at times you may see a yellow to the water in the toilets, taps and laundry. Please note owner is not responsible for any possible discoloration to your clothing if washing machine is used on a high iron day. Rest assured we your hosts also drink and bathe with this well water. We have the water tested but note the water testing is only valid the day of testing. Feel free to bring your own bottled drinking water if it makes you more comfortable.
Heating and Cooling
During your stay, please preserve our environment and be rational in water and electricity use, turn down heat/air conditioning when you are away. When air conditioning or heat is turned on, please be certain all windows and doors are closed.
Children
For the sake of safety, children are not to be left unsupervised by an adult either inside or outside. Any damages caused by the children will be charged back to the booking guest.
Smoking Policy
Breathe easy. Bealby Point Stay is a non-smoking property indoors. This applies to both traditional smoking methods and all electronic delivery systems. Any smoking in the rooms or strong lingering smoking scents in rooms will result in a disappointed look and a $500 room cleaning fee.
Smoking outside of the homes is allowed as long as you are 20 feet from doors and windows and at least 20 feet from children playing unless they are your own children. You must use an ashtray and properly dispose of butts.
Pet Policy
Are we pet friendly? A maximum of two small/medium sized dogs are allowed per room. Just make sure your furry friends do their business in the designated area, you pick up after your pets and stay on a leash when outside the room. We have other guests with children and pets, you are responsible for your pet at all times. No pets in the hot tubs. If your pet has an accident inside your suite please make sure to use the cleaning supplies and clean up the mess immediately to avoid staining, Pets are not to be left unattended in rooms at any time. Owner is responsible to ensure safety of other guests and limit barking. There is a $15/day additional pet fee per dog with a maximum of two dogs. Any damage to your suite is your responsibility and will be charged back to you upon inspection by the cleaners.
Hot Tub Rules
• It is recommended to have a beach bathing suit and a hot tub bathing suit it helps to maintain the chemicals.
• If you could wash your hot tub bathing suits prior to your stay in just water this will help with bubbles in the tub and chemical adjustments.
• Temperature to be set at 102 degrees.
• No food in Hot Tub, if you want a drink please make sure in a non-breakable preferably with a lid cup
• No creams lotions, insect sprays, or tanning sprays in the tub, please shower prior to entering the tub these throw off the chemicals and may cause a rash.
• No sand in hot tub, please shower (outside shower available in summer) prior to entering tub from beach.
• No pets in tub
• The white towels in your rooms are for showers inside. There is a shelf with outdoor towels you may use for the Hot tub or beach.
• We make every effort to ensure that the hot tub remains available for use, the amenity is not guaranteed.
• Hot tub use is at one’s own risk, guest agrees to the rules of use, assumes all liability from use and hereby indemnifies the host.
• Please Inspect the hot tub water before use. If too hot, cloudy, dirty, gritty, smells unusual, or you have any water quality concerns DO NOT USE THE HOT TUB and call the host for service.
• Turn off jets and lights and keep the hot tub closed when not in use.
• Persons with health conditions including pregnancy, or using alcohol, narcotics or other drowsiness inducers should not use the hot tub without doctor’s consent.
• The following are not permitted in or around the hot tub: unsupervised children, children under 6 yrs old, glass, jumping or diving into or from the hot tub, occupancy exceeding 6 persons, entry if temperature exceeds 104 degrees.
• Longer stay guests will be asked to apply water treatment to ensure continued safe use.
• A $425 refilling fee will be charged if hot tub draining is required due to guests’ actions. Refilling may not be available during the guest’s stay.
Private Beach Rules
No Lifeguard on Duty: There is no lifeguard on duty at this private beach area. Swimming, water activities, and any other use of the beach are undertaken entirely at your own risk. It is your responsibility to assess the water conditions, weather, and your own swimming abilities before entering the water. Parents you are responsible for your children and children should not be left unattended.
Hazards and Conditions: The private beach area may present certain hazards and conditions that can pose risks to individuals. These hazards may include, but are not limited to, unstable or slippery terrain, currents, waves, rocks, marine life, weather changes, and other natural elements. Use caution and exercise good judgment when on the beach.
Liability Waiver: By accessing and using the private beach area, you agree to release and hold harmless the property owner, their agents, employees, and any affiliated parties from any liability for injuries, damages, or losses that may occur because of your use of the beach area. This includes but is not limited to personal injuries, property damage, or any other claims arising from your actions or omissions.
Bear Awareness Be aware that bears and other wildlife are present in this area.
Food Storage
All food, garbage, and scented items must be stored securely indoors.
Do not leave food or food-related items outdoors, including on decks or porches.
Outdoor Cooking and Grilling
If you plan to cook or grill outdoors:
Ensure it's done responsibly and safely.
After use, clean grills thoroughly and dispose of food scraps in indoor trash containers.
Garbage and Recycling
All recycling to be washed and placed in Blue-Box left in your suite. Plastics, Cans, Glass, and Cardboard only.
All garbage to be kept in your suite in garbage bag in appropriate bins. If you fill a bag and want to remove, there are bear proof bins (the big black ones) by the driveway on your way out. Please make sure your bag is sealed and put in larger black garbage bag and close the lid securely. To open you stick your finger in and slide the metal piece over while you lift.
