The house is adorable, clean and located close enough to downtown that we parked the cars and walked everywhere. Very spacious, great for our small group of 6.
We needed a place that could accommodate our family for Christmas and we’re glad we chose this property. It’s a large heritage home within walking distance to downtown. The kitchen is roomy and we easily cooked a feast for dinner. They even put up a Christmas tree us! I highly recommend this property.
Everything from booking to the accommodation was fantastic! The home is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Our host was always quick to answer any inquiries and had some great suggestions for things to do! Highly recommend!
This heritage house is so cute!
It's clean and has everything you could need. Walking distance to town and good coffee shops too.
We stayed with 6 adults and 3 kids and had room to spare.
The 6 of us ( friends) were in town to celebrate an anniversary. The accommodations were close to everything we required. The house had more than enough bedrooms and the shared spaces gave everyone elbow room. The host was very quick with responsing to all our questions and requirements. We would highly recommend this unit.
We booked this amazing house for 6 nights with 3 teenagers, a preteen and couple. Everyone was so happy to have their own amazing space. Everything was immaculate and available. Would recommend this for anyone traveling with kids. Great location, walking distance to everything and Kristin was a wealth of information and easily accessible.
House as advertised. Clean, well organized, easily accessible and great fit for our party of 7 with ages ranging from 6-50+.
Host super communicative and available. Great stay! Will definitely look to stay here again when back in town.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this nicely renovated Victorian in the heart of Nelson. Plenty of room for 7 adults who didn't want to share beds. The location is excellent - a short walk to the restaurants and shops downtown and a quick 15 minute drive to Whitewater ski resort. The host was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
The house was perfect to fit all 14 of us. The house was clean, the rooms were all pretty large. Overall a great experience. We also got to meet Kristin and she was very friendly. We would totally stay again.
An amazing older home that was well maintained. There were 9 adults staying in the home and we couldn’t have asked for a better place. Close to everything and a short walk to the center of town! Amazing views and would stay there again in a heartbeat!
This house had plenty of room for our large group. Lots of space to hang out and not be stepping over each other the entire time. Easy walk to downtown dining and shopping. If our group goes to Nelson again we would stay book this house again.
This spot was great for us. good bedrooms, good kitchen, easy walk into Nelson, and a short drive to the ski area.
The one thing we would suggest for improvement is better lighting and seating for reading.
But all in all, we would definitely come back.
The house is beautiful, and the view of the lake from the back deck is breathtaking. The kitchen is beyond well equipped. When prepping meals for our crew - everything we hoped to find we found! The bedrooms are pretty, and super comfortable. Kristin is really responsive but also has that lovely Kootenay vibe. Welcoming and relaxed. Best rental experience ever! Thanks Kristine.
Various members of our family travelled from long distances to attend a wedding in Nelson. Our host was very helpful and answered my questions immediately. The house was extremely well appointed, including comfortable beds for all of us, plenty of towels, and even a steamer which was put to good use as four generations prepared for the event. The kitchen was fully stocked and spacious, the deck and yard were lovely and there was enough parking for several vehicles. We absolutely loved our time at this house and would highly recommend it to others. The gorgeous view was an added bonus!
We came to Nelson for a family wedding and a group of us wanted to stay together to get extra time to visit. This house was perfect! From the cute little coffee area outside overlooking the lake, to the several floors of hide and seek to entertain smaller kids, to the tasteful, contemporary decorations in a stylish heritage home. There’s nothing bad to say about this place. The house owners were very easy to communicate with, generous with the amount of towels and coffee and other small things you may need if you were to stay and cook. As the house is older, it only had two bathrooms. So getting ready for the wedding could have been a challenge, but a few mirrors in other places around the house helped and the hot water never ran out, which was a bonus. Our only regret is that we all didn’t arrive earlier to enjoy the place longer! Would definitely recommend or stay here again.
The house is great. Large enough for 6 guys each having their own room except the two sharing the loft. The house is very nice, comfortable and has way more extras that any other house we've stayed at. The pictures did not do the place justice. I was a bit concerned how it would be because the pictures were so bad. We took a chance and it was worth it. The house has such old world charm but with newer furnishings, lots of outlets, big enough kitchen to cook and great view of the lake from the Kitchen and Livingroom. It has apple tv with many subscriptions and plenty of room for all of us to hang out. Its about a 10min walk to most places downtown so we didn't drive once we got home from the ski hill. Kristen was extremely quick to respond when we couldn't get the door open(hopefully they change the electric lock). I highly recommend staying here. We'll be back.
We just finished a six night stay in February at this fantastic location. The house is a 120 year old gem just a 7 minute walk from the city centre that has had just the right amount of updating to provide modern comforts while maintaining a heritage feel in keeping with the City of Nelson. Tastefully decorated, the house has five large bedrooms each with a comfortable queen or king size bed, one of which is a "loft" (basically, the upper floor) with a pull out couch for additional sleeping. Each room has ample storage space, the kitchen is modern, with every utensil you could consider. One modern bathroom, and one older Victorian style (claw tub with shower and separate toilet facilities - brought me back to houses of my youth). Full laundry facilities. The back of the house has a great little deck with a view of the road coming into town and the Slocan river snaking away in towards Castlegar. The house is very close to town (five/six minutes there, a few extra back - it is up the hill from Nelson). Nelson itself has lots of great little restaurants, coffee houses and bars, and cute shopping opportunities - far more than you would expect in a city of its size (about 10,500). There is lots to do around Nelson (we spent most of our time skiing at Whitewater - similarly deserving of a rave review). The host (Kristin) is super responsive and helpful, and maintains a very clean house. Loved it, will definitely return.
