"This house more than met our exceptions! It is a beautiful property in an exceptional, wooded setting with bubbling mountain streams behind the house. You can hear them from the deck and there aren't many more peaceful sounds than the natural sounds of nature. The old Appalachian Trail is out back on the other side of the streams, which are really fun and easy to cross. You run into the current AT and can hike on that for as long or as short a hike as you want. The house itself is just beautiful, with an incredibly well stocked kitchen, all beds are very comfortable, and the layout is great! I would stay here over and over! The hosts are great and very easy to contact with any problems you might have, but my guess is you won't find any. We sure didn't. I highly recommend staying in this great house and give it a 5 star rating. "

"A beautifully crafted log home with modern amenities. The location wxcellent, private yet close to breweries, Wintergreen and wineries. The decor was wonderful. Very unique with natural appeal. Beds were comfortable. All linens fresh and comfortable. The hot tub was relaxing after long days of hiking. The winds were too high to have an outdoor fire, so we had one in the fireplace whuch was great. We would stay again! We appreciated the easy check in and out. "

"My family and I stayed here for a long weekend to make the most of some local hikes, end of season snow on the slopes and quality time together. The property met all of our needs and wants when we were browsing for availabilities. We had a hiccup accessing the property during initial check in (key code) but the property owners were helpful and got us in quickly. Their responsiveness eased my concerns right from the start, should we have needed them for anything else during our stay.What stood out to us were all the little comforts of home, like a well stocked kitchen full of every tool, utensil or container you might need. The chalet seemed very clean overall including the hot tub and grill. The owner provided a variety of soaps, cleaning supplies, waste bags for pets, towels, tea, coffee, propane for the grill and lots more I'm sure I'm forgetting.We will definitely consider coming back and recommend this to any family traveling to the area with or without a pet."
